Stop Punishing Skill in PvP

Destiny 2 PvP, as addictive as it is, is deeply flawed. One of these flaws is the fact that the matchmaking algorithm places strong players with extremely weak players in matches. I have noticed this not just in Survival, but Quickplay as well. I have never understood why Bungie seems to presuppose that I can carry two players who cannot help me in any capacity and still win. In a sense, PvP matches will be won or lost on the degree to which one's teammates are useful or not. One can get 45 kills in Clash with a 5 K/D and still lose. Likewise, one can get 30 kills in Survival with a similar K/D and still lose. This shouldn't be happening. Bungie should be aiming to matchmake teammates based on similar skill-levels so that games in upper-tier brackets of Survival are more fair and so games of Quickplay are more fun. This is NOT to endorse skill-based matchmaking, but rather, to endorse a more balanced model for finding teammates. The current system is a nonsense system that persecutes the hardcore under a false presumption that it is feasible (or even fun) to double, triple, quadruple or even quintuple carry. For the sake of the sanity of those with thumbs, it ought to change.
