Warlock Stasis Aspect Idea

Hello! I hope your days is going well! I just had a thought and realized it would be pretty badass for Warlocks to get something like Lady Elfriede’s ice wave from either the scythe or boss fight. I was thinking it could work as a sort of melee attack that the Warlock can access by holding down the melee button. I imagine it working like this: The Warlock holds down the melee button a summons the Winter’s Wrath staff in hand, going into third person while holding the button down. Upon release omg, the Warlock spins their staff vertically and backwards, arcing it up and releasing the Stasis Energy. Releasing the button allows the Warlock to send forth a cone of stasis crystals the travels along the ground, freezing enemies. After a short delay, the crystals with shatter in in a devastating explosion that send Stasis shrapnel flying, detonating and shattering enemies unlucky enough to be encased. I was also thinking it could be something more like a ultra version of the melee. You’d charge it up, go the third person, and sent a large orb out (maybe in an arc). Upon impacting with a surface or enemies in a medium sized AoE, it freezes enemies instantly while a whirlwind of shrapnel rages around them, eventually shattering those who are encased. It could also be just like the first one, but in a circular AoE rather than a cone (so it sends out Stasis crystal time bombs that’s encase, them shatter). I would think it it was thrown at a boss that was too large for the field of encasing crystals that that was just appear on the boss, then all explode on it. With all of this, I just figure we don’t have a “melee focused” Warlock subclass. I’ve realized there ARE focuses for each tree, even if most of them do a terrible job of leaning into that focus lol. Voidwalker is Grenade focused, giving you more ways to use your grenade by overcharging, throwing an inconsistent short ranged shotgun that’ll prob kill you rather than the enemy, or eating the grenade to keep yourself in the fight. Dawnblade is sky focused, giving us more aerial mobility to fight in the sky, heal from above, or slowly descend in an animation that’ll leave any bottom tree warlock dead or near death 😂. Stormcaller is ability regeneration focused (more than the other Warlock subclasses), giving ways for abilities to keep on going by either chaining lighting to nearby enemies (RIP, this ability is six feet under lol), leaving ionic traces that travel along the ground from defeated enemies, or recharging your rift extra fast while allies (why is this even a thing, it’s useless in solo play) are near with a melee that’ll give a smol chunk as well. With all of this said (I could totally be wrong), I believe that the Shadebinder will be heavily focused on the melee ability, ways to make it more powerful, and ways to keep it recharging. All of what I said about the Aspect ideas are just that, ideas. If you have any cool ideas for more Aspects for any class, throw em down below! I wanna hear your ideas too! :) EDIT: I had another idea. What if it was a straight up Gandalf “YOU SHALL NOT PASS” and you slam the hilt of your staff into the ground and either send forth the wave or release it in an AoE around you? Probably too close to what the rift Aspect does. Imo the rift aspect is kinda dumb considering how shitty rift kinda is. Maybe this’ll make it good though!
