It's predictable, but the combination of Alexander, Crystal Tower, and Omega is just too amazing to pass up. Though I also really like the new themes for the [spoiler]ARR Primals from Eden.[/spoiler] And for favorite moment, it has to be [spoiler]Amaurot.[/spoiler] If anyone says otherwise, I'm calling them wrong.

Reuniting with Alphinaud (found him a cocky punk in ARR but after HW I felt that unbreakable war buddy bond), the Lamitt role quest (muh heartstrings), and the final standoff with Emet-Selch (badass). I particularly enjoyed the Seto part too. [b] [/b] What I didn't like as much was anything involving Y'shtola. She was the first scion I met (started in Limsa) and really enjoyed her all through HW and SB but... I dunno... she just seemed really bit[b][/b]chy this expansion. Like, she's the one constantly using risky forbidden magics and expecting everyone to trust her -and gives them the schoolmarm look if they question her - but then turns around and second guesses us at every turn when we literally slay gods for a living. She's always been one of the first to say "The Warrior of light has got this" and suddenly she's acting like we need to be put down because we're too much of a risk. Thanks for the vote of confidence and loyalty... I dunno, I just felt like she was written very differently this expansion. Conversely, I used to not like Urianger all that much (outside his role in the Dragonsong War) but really liked him this time around. [b] [/b] Also anything involving Ran'jit other than the Thancred fight, f*** that guy. He was overpowered for no other reason than to be a convenient plot contrivance. ... actually, screw the Thancred fight too. Nothing wrong with the mechanics themselves but it was way too long.
