PVP Exotic Balancing

Part of the reason why Destiny has struggled to balance the classes in PVP is because the class exotics are part of it. You can balance the classes all you want, but if you don’t include exotics with that then you’re only gonna end up with new problems. The reasoning behind the drop in warlock mains is not only due to the horrible disadvantage they have, but also because of exotics. Titans and hunters have amazing exotics specifically built for PVP, like REALLY good ones. Some are even weapon specific. Warlocks only have four helpful PVP exotics that make a noticeable impact. There are crappy exotics just waiting to shine in PVP. They could make it to where Vesper of Radius makes your rift a constant shockwave, they could make The Stag drop a rift automatically if you are low on health and have it charged. The Stag only makes it to where you’re only advantage with it is when you’re close to death or just die. Nobody wants to use that unless they know they’ll die a lot. The whole point of an exotic is to help you prevent death in a creative way. Stormdancer’s Brace could apply to abilities instead of supers. The Point is is that one of the biggest contributions to PVP class imbalance is due too exotics, the rest goes toward the classes itself and the map structures. The Hunters have roughly 17 exotics that work tremendously in PVP. One of which is specific to console (St0mp-EE5) A hunter can dodge and blind everyone, whilst going invisible, regaining a smoke, having damage reduction. A titan can punch someone, and bring everyone close enough down to half health. The only thing the warlocks have as a reliable exotic is Contraverse Hold, which should have been nerfed more than the actual Handheld itself, the handheld was only dominate because of this exotic. It would’ve been no different than a shoulder charge if this exotic hadn’t existed. It would’ve been fine. I hope I’ve made my point here, and I’m ready for the simps to try and give me invalid arguments of which I may entertain for my own amusement. But this is silly Bungie, cmon. I’m not saying to make warlocks OP or neuter the other classes a bunch. I’m trying to make a point that it is very possible to evenly distribute a fine PVP sandbox without it ending up like D2 Vanilla. You guys just need to really think about this, play your game, look at this from the dedicated players perspective, not the common. (Another Unique way to change the Stag would be to make it like so, “Feast of Bones: Gain rift energy upon defeating an opponent, drop a rift automatically when critically wounded.”)
