I'm fresh off of a disappointing and emotionally draining comp gaming session so I might be a lil passionate when it comes to my word choice. Comp -blam!-ing sucks to play solo and I believe it has to do with SBMM. It's without a doubt your opponents are of similar skill, but what about your teammates? More often than not I find myself being matched with kids who are rocking blue armor and not-even-close-to-meta-weapons like they have never read a twab or the seasonal sandbox patch notes. I play this game often and I think I'm an above average player (1.8 comp kd/ 100,000 pvp kills/ been flawless 3 times blah blah blah), so how am I being matched with the bluest of blueberries? These blueberries are also causing me to lose games (salty I know). So I'm just supposed to bounce back and forth between mythic 1 and 2? And just be fine with that? Bro I am s w e a t i n g to carry these guys and there is no way that anyone I match with is close to my skill. Recently matched with a guy who started playing D2 in shadowkeep with a 1.1 kd in comp. How can he even keep up at this level? Is he Mythic 1 as well? And if he is, how thy -blam!- did he get here? Perhaps there are way to many ways(strats) to play the game for there even to be a solo comp playlist. Everyone plays differently and playing with no comms is near impossible at high skill levels. I NEED ANSWERS Get good. I know. Teammates leaving matches and I'm punished for it. This happens almost every solo comp game and the penalty means absolutely nothing. Sure you lose some of your rank (which you can get back after winning 1 game) and if you leave matches frequently you get a pathetic 30 minute suspension. There needs to be more intensive to finish a match instead of leaving one early. I know there are many variables to leaving a match early like not enough time, internet issues, ddosing, enemy is using toxic load-outs etc. But when teammates leave the match, sometimes I leave with them. I'm not gonna remain in the same game and just get farmed for 5 more minutes. -blam!- that. And yet my rank goes down. I'm not even gonna talk about the 'rewards' because there is nothing to talk about. These are just my experiences in SOLO comp. Feel free to share your own here or tell me to get good. So Bungie, instead of making a new season with more obelisks to upgrade and more public events to do, fix the foundation of your busted ass game.
