2 days ago I bought Destiny 2 Forsaken at Target and transferred the code information to Steam yesterday. Everything with the transfer process worked successfully and the game downloaded without any problems, but when I try to play it now it continues to have problems and has given me various error messages. The one it has given me the most is a prompt to run a "Properties - Local Files - Verify Integrity of Game Files" after it closes the game on me, but I've run the Verify Integrity scan now twice and it hasn't found anything. The only thing I haven't tried is un- and re-installing the game entirely, but seeing as the game is so massive and takes hours to download I'm not particularly inclined to do it again, unless it's my only option.
The only specifics on what causes problems that I have is playing the starting level when you create a new character and going to the Tower has no issues, but trying to load in anywhere else that I have access to (limited to Earth right now due to my power level) consistently doesn't work.
Hi. Thanks for your report.
You may want to verify the integrity of your game files in the Steam app to see if that helps with your issue.
Some players have reported that changing the game language may resolve the issue.
If that doesn't help, in your Games library, right-click Destiny 2 and go to Properties. Click Local Files then Browse Local Files to open your Destiny 2 directory.
Remove all files in this folder EXCEPT "Packages."
Then verify the integrity of Destiny 2 game files again.
