Days spent working on a puzzle....
Bungie, the community spent days working on this puzzle. It brought a lot of us together. Unique idea. There are thousands of people mentally exhausted. And THIS was the reward? An exotic we already knew about? You know why people rage and leave, and say you all can't put together quality content?
Because of this shit right here.
Seriously. Awesome idea, but the reward was just not worth the damn grind that thousands put into this.
This is how you lose the confidence and trust in the community.

lol, i don't think the community has much confidence in D2 Dev in the first place, so that horse is already out of the barn. fwiw, a procedurally generated puzzle quest in the middle of a looter shooter was odd and out of place for me. i simply ignored it. also, why would anyone put significant effort into a flipping puzzle quest when they didn't know what the reward was? sounds a bit silly to me. next time, simply ignore the annoying puzzle quest, you'll be happier

2 RespuestasNothing would have made the community happy "New weapon? Oh, it sucks so it's not worth it." "Vex Mythoclast? Bungie can't make new content so the puzzle sucked." "A ship/emblem/sparrow? Are you kidding? that is it? you suck Bungie." Instead of saying how much you hated the reward start giving suggestions as to what you want. Constructive criticism people, not complaining.

1 RespuestaThe puzzle was the Easter egg for those that figured it out before reset you got the weapon before everyone, so you had something that the entire community didn’t have yet. You could reek havoc with and become a Destiny legend for 24 hours before the entire community got it! Quit complaining, the season is almost over, did expect to find raze lighter there? With the stomp mechanism where after one swipe you are blasted away 50 feet back! Or were you expecting the galley? Good lord people, it is a game, play it for entertainment and not for fulfilling a void in your life!

Ever think that Bungie has a back up plan for releasing the weapon in case this was another Niobe Labs, and we couldn’t figure it out?!??!

1 RespuestaI just really hope that if we do get another puzzle, people just ignore it. Going through all that for something it's now been confirmed we would have got anyway, is just bad. Dmg is back on the 'we can't do surprises because people will think there's no content' so there isn't going to be anything like the whisper quest ever again, which is just sad. How about they make the season look attractive and have a surprise?

2 RespuestasPuzzle,huh? Lazy ass trial and error... not a puzzle. Same three rooms over and over. Nobody else noticed you pick up the ammo you left in previous rooms? Stupidity at it's finest. "Amazing experience " was a quote I read. Low bar is set even lower. Apparently this community likes looking at white screens for days. Or wait and get the answer and go through it marveling that anyone could enjoy that drivel.

And since the puzzle was apart of Season of Dawn, which was about Osiris/Saint-14 and featuring mainly Vex enemies, I was hoping the weapon would be a reprised Vex Mythoclast, a returning primary Raid weapon from D1 just like with Outbreak Prime returning from D1 into D2. I would've shat if it were Vex Mythoclast. It totally makes sense too. It's "one of our favorite weapons...", the original Raid weapon everyone sought out to get back in D1. And the puzzle was centered around Vex and time travel through Vex portals...I mean sh*t, I thought it was obvious it would be the Vex Mythoclast...But nope. Very disappointed.

7 RespuestasWould you have preferred 2 tokens and a blue? A fresh new exotic seems like an adequate rewards for the thousands of hours people spent on streamers channels. The big problem is, the majority of forum users just want to whing and moan and will never be satisfied. I'd expect this kind of behaviour from an 8 year old. Everyone whose moaned about getting a new exotic via a giant piece of new content is just an embarrassment to humanity

They had to put it on the roadmap for legal reasons, because it’s ONLY for season passholders, otherwise it would have been a secret, but you guys don’t care. You guys want trash D1 weapons rather than unique, OP new stuff that is fresh. Niobe Labs had a ghost shell and your expectations for this puzzle was an OP D1 weapon? You guys set the bar to high for yourselves, it isn’t Bungies fault they created a streamer event intentionally that tons of people enjoyed. Of course the reward is going to be an exotic, that’s the height of Destiny, you guys don’t actually comprehend that do you? That Exotics are the pinnacle reward...

2 RespuestasI’ve never been one of those “bungie slaps us in the face blah blah blah” people but this quest was a kick in the penis to all of those nerds who spent days unlocking a puzzle to get a roadmap exotic. Putting a sword on the tomb. Cold blooded. I’m sure bastion is a super cool gun but we all knew about it from the roadmap. They had to have known we would assume it was a Whisper/Outbreak situation. Big mess up.

I would prefere true in game content than those things. Bungie lost the chance to do something like whisper of the worm. Lets wait for "Inotan". Unfortunetely the quest repets the boring path: -talk to NPC; - Kill x mobs; - Use wepon/elemental damage; - Do assault/ Lost sector; - talk to NPC

I’ll admit, I’m a little frustrated with the reward. I feel like a secret quest, especially on this level of a quest, should have a secret reward. That reward should also feel worthwhile. It’s unfortunate but Bastion doesn’t seem like a real worthwhile reward. I don’t see myself using it in 980 nightfalls, nightmare hunts, or any of that. What I do see myself doing is using it for a week or two then vaulting it.
