They'll get better with the next Gen consoles next year. The hardware we are all using on consoles is dated. There is only so much they can do.
As destiny has evolved it has gotten worse. Definitely points to hardware limitations. I have a oneX and is much better than the og console, but still has it's issues.
You can always tell when you play with someone on a 1st Gen console because you load in so much faster. You find yourself waiting sometime 30seconds for them to appear.
I'm no tech geek, but common sense is telling me the better the hardware the better Destiny runs. So the series X, and ps5 console should be just what we need for games like Destiny.
the better the hardware the better Destiny runs
This should be written in the great Book of Profound Statements.

Ah, good to know. I was wanting to post this question. Thanks.

I run a pro with an SSD and didn't have a problem until shadow keep came out

I agree with you there. The load times were always long but navigating the menus has been super laggy even on my 1X.

If it's even on next gen.

Why would you say that?

Well there's no D3, so it's gonna have to be D2, they can't sell it as it's already free and they're clearly struggling to even manage D2 since the split. I guess a lot rides on if they can make it pay and their best option would be use the pc build, no idea how hard that would be, maybe that's why D2 is currently such a mess because they've people doing that. A next gen version would make sense if it's gonna be around for 3-4 years, and even then they'd be splitting an already small plsyerbase from 4 platforms to 6, maybe more as there's rumoured to be 2 versions of the new consoles, a budget one and a premier one. New consoles take time to grow and I'm sure even though some current destiny players would move, all wouldn't, I played D1 on PS3 for a year after it moved to PS4 n PS4 numbers where low for quite a while, whilst PS3 stayed strong for 9-12 months. Also most people buying next gen consoles will want new games and pc now has the biggest destiny playerbase by a good way over either console. Will there be done form of destiny on next gen, I'd say probably, but I wouldn't be shocked if there wasn't, n if there is, I'd bet it's a pc port

Wow, you've put alot of thought into this. Only time will tell...
