Buff Thundercrash

It’s too weak. I thought I’d start playing with middle tree striker again but now I see why i stopped. It sucks!!! Literally in escalation protocol today it’s painfully obvious at how weak it is. I can visually see a hunters blade barrage move yellow bar bosses meter down and chaos reach chip at bosses health meter but when the boss has a sliver of life left and I use my super to finish him it seems like it doesn’t move... At all! On top of that I get stomped off the map and die. Thundercrash sucks for it to be what it is. Roaming supers do more damage than that and chaos reach and blade barrage do more damage at a safer distance than Thundercrash. It really needs a heavy buff. Plus Inertia Override needs to last twice as long. It’s only decent when the enemy is standing on top of ammo and hopefully it isn’t one that’ll stomp you away. I notice a lot of times when I try to use it I’m sliding to where i see ammo then by the time I turn around and lock on a target I barely get a couple shots with it with an auto rifle. Plus there really needs to be an exotic specifically for Thundercrash that boosts its effectiveness. They’re needs to be an exotic that mix Insurmountable Skullfort and Synthoceps together to increase effectiveness. Even tho both have decent synergy with middle tree striker it’s not enough. With Skullfort if I’m playing anything hard my ballistic slam won’t kill a lot of enemies and my health won’t regenerate when i use it as a last resort to get health plus i lose my melee. With synthoceps i have to slam in groups for it to be effective but then I lose my melee AND I don’t regain health on kills so there’s no need for me to risk dying to slam in a group that may only kill a few enemies but leave me vulnerable. I recorded a clip of me doing Thundercrash to a boss then getting slammed into a wall and dying. But if you slow the video down you see that someone’s heavy appears to do more damage in that instant than what I could do in my super. I turn into a lightning missile and barely do any damage.... that’s sad.

Thundercrash exotic- Titan Gauntlets that recharge melee and grant an overshield on ballistic slam kills. Also boosts range and applies Terminal Velocity to Thundercrash.

          • One point I saw brought up is that its a shutdown super. But. Other shutdown supers still have PvE utility. Slova Bomb and Chaos Reach still do great damage to bosses. You get Bubble and Bottom Tree Striker, sure. And melting point. But the thing people who are complaining that you are asking for this are missing that Titans don't have a single target big damage super, and Thundercrash has great potential to do it. Hunters get Celestial Golden Gun and Warlocks get Slova and Chaos. Titans get... Big Hammer?... Please look past your bias against Titans in PvP, guys. I think this person means well.

In PvP one of the biggest problems with thundercrash is the animation delay for ballistic slam (the melee) and thundercrash itself are slow. And you can take damage and die while in the animation sequences.

              • I'd like to see Thundercrash get a damage buff. It's probably the most entertaining Titan tree of all of them, and it's just not good. If I'm gonna make myself vulnerable by slowly launching myself at a boss and placing myself in range for a stomp that will inevitably one-shot me via physics, I might as well get some solid damage out of it. Maybe just make an exotic that gives you that damage, similar to Nighthawk.

Bungie doesn’t care, they’ll never buff this super for PvE nor will they fix the spin attack on burning maul, or fix the hit detection on shield bash , and fix the misadventure glitch on Antaeus wards When it comes to titan feedback bungie never listens.

                  • Ok, Inertia needs to be left alone or PvP will be broken as hell. I hate Titans with a passion at this point but I 100% agree that Thundercrash needs to be buffed. Its a one use ability that turns you into a nuke. Its gunna kill you in PvP at any distance anyway so its not gunna affect that. Its the most fun in a super I have ever had but I only play hunter.

Some people that are responding to this just don't understand what they are talking about. Thundercrash has been the only super in the game neither buffed nor nerfed since it was released and the reason for that is unknown. It got recognition from bungie once that they said they would take a look at it after the dozens upon dozens of posts where people complained about how weak it was and nothing has happened or been mentioned for the past year. To put it into perspective, thundercrash is the weakest one off super in the game for those who don't already know this. This isn't some titan propaganda bullshit where I'm lying to people to get them on my side, no one off super does as little damage as thundercrash besides activating a well of Radiance, hitting a target with top tree tether, or bubble (because it does no damage). Nova bomb, both top and bottom tree, do significantly more damage than thundercrash does. I'm talking around a 75-100% damage cap over thundercrash without any exotics while also throwing it from a much safer distance. Even with synthoceps, nova bomb is stronger. "It's damage is fine because of how fast you can charge your super," the recharge speed of the super doesn't weaken any other super and thundercrash should be no different. Bottom tree golden gun (I think that's the precision one) gets bonus super regen just for accurately shooting targets but it's also one of the strongest supers in the game. Bottom tree sentinel just has to kill enemies while surrounded and your super bar rockets up. Chaos reach gets about 2-3% super energy per ionic trace, which adds up over time, still stronger than thundercrash while also regenerating every other ability. Next would be the neutral game. The super energy on damaging targets with your melee is powerful, but only if you build entirely around that. Without skullfort, you die easily because you are so defenseless both during and after activation so the health regen becomes critical. Without skullfort you can't spam it, which means it's only charging about 20% faster than normal supers per minute, which is nothing in the grand scale of things unless you land on a huge number of enemies, ranging from 6-8. Inertia override is entirely dependent on rng in both pve and PvP. Enemies don't always drop ammo and it's certainly not always safe to use it. In pve, the only time it's safe to use this perk is in lower tier activities or once everything is mostly dead and the reward for that is a 20% damage boost, which is good, and to reload your weapon in hand, which is also good. However, since most people like to only talk about skullfort when saying Thunder crash is fine, you more than likely won't ever be focusing on this over just slamming down on targets, which means it won't activate. It's a solid perk, but it's usefulness varies heavily. In PvP is the best place for it...only if you rock a special weapon because enemies rarely ever drop primary ammo which means you are required to run a specific type of weapon otherwise you won't ever get to use it. All of its issues are highlighted simply by using it and it becomes more and more detrimental as the scaling of enemies goes up. It's just not safe or valuable to use in pve without giving it a neutral game through exotics. It's so dumb It's reliance on exotics is worse than any other in the game. Tether still does fine without Orpheus Rigs, bubble does fine without helm of saint 14, golden gun still puts out a lot of damage without celestial nighthawk, burning maul still slays without synthoceps. It has so much potential to be good at least at add clear, but by itself it's just not possible.

Spoiler Code of the Missile isn't for boss damage. It never has, because Titan never has existed for that reason. You know what move a bosses health bar? Slapping down that bubble. That's gonna do more damage than both of those, especially in something with so many people like EP. Thundercrash in general isn't about "boss damage", it's entirely about neutral game. In PvE, it's there for add clear, gaining Super for more add clear, and constantly buffing your weapons. In PvP, it's Titans best shutdown Super, and the damage on Inertia Override can 2 tap on a bunch of weapons. You're not gonna get a single hit "Nighthawk" Super on Titan. Like for real, Titan is the ONLY CLASS that gets CONSTANT weapon damage up skills, across multiple subclasses. Both bottom and middle tree Striker, and bottom tree Sunbreaker get gun damage perks constantly. The melee charges basically one shot most majors now, we have OVERSHIELD ON DEMAND. Bottom tree Sentinel basically has INFINITE grenades now, because of grenade recharge mods and the fact the grenade basically recharges itself when you use it. Doom Fang gives like...A QUARTER of our Super on a melee kill. Titans are so strong in the neutral game. Stop having envy over dumb Hunters who use their terrible Blade Barrage and turn the bosses crit spot from your 35% damage up Izanagis Burden that'll shit on any damage that guy does, and then tell him and his friends to also get the damage up. Titans are PogChamp

                            • WHAT? ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Titans are already useful on PvE AND PvP! "Oh my life is tragic! I only have weapons of light, overshield, super high damage shoulder charge, melting point, a better jump than warlocks and fast reload on PvE and the most broken super on PvP, OEM, one shot melees(and I am not talking about shoulder charges) and a giant ass wall that gets me heavy 99% of the time" THUNDERCRASH IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SHUTDOWN SUPER! You know, like blade barrage or nova bomb YOU -blam!-ING IDIOT! What am I supposed to say that I play warlock? I can only play well and its not even that good cause TITANS CAN ALSO MAKE OTHERS RELOAD FASTER AND GIVE OVERSHIELDS! AND DON'T YOU DARE BRING UP DAWNBLADE CAUSE YOU CAN DODGE IT IF YOU JUST WALK AROUND A PILLAR(It has happened to me and I also have dodged an entire dawnblade as a hunter) BOO HOO! 2 GOOD PvE SUPERS AND 1 OP PvP SUPER ARE NOT ENOUGH FOR ME! PLEASE JUST BUFF TITANS TO BE ABLE TO GET EVERY WEAPON FOR FREE WITHOUT GRIND AND PUT A MASSIVE DILDO ON THE OTHER 2 CLASSES!

I’ve been advocating for an exotic for Thundercrash that increases flight speed and time by 30%, and launches a volley of blinding missiles at the general direction you’re looking after making impact.

                                  • My point is out of all the one and done supers that are not support supers, the Thundercrash is the worst for dps for it to leave you in such a vulnerable position. Between Golden Gun, Blade Barrage, Chaos Reach, Nova Bomb, and Thundercrash. Thundercrash has the worst dps, on top of that it leaves you right in front of the boss for it to get its revenge which it does with a lethal stomp half the time. Thundercrash is not an add clearer like the rest of its supers are. As a matter of fact it’s the only one that is actually meant for dps as shown in the forsaken trailer. When it comes to add clearing top and bottom tree striker as well the other to subclasses are far superior than Thundercrash.

With just a few games experience I've used it in 6v1's in comp and walked away with a win. In PvP this subclass is amazing. In PvE however...I wouldn't know. There is no way in hell I'd use it in PvE I typically main bubble or a different class lol.

                                    • Thunder crash is not a pve subclass. All of its abilities scream pvp. It’s good in gambit with certain builds I will say that, but it’s like nova warp. Nova warp does bad boss dmg and not ass good as other classes for add clear, but it’s really good in pvp. Not every class is going to be good at both.
