The distance on high-impact one shot kills is out of control.

So make them worse shotguns?
-
Fusions, especially erentil and Jotunn, are cheap as hell in crucible. They don’t require any skill. People who crutch on them must suck with everything else.
-
A lot of you guys remind me of the ppl who would defend Telesto and Wavesplitter, which were obviously way worse than other fusions. They would toss around silly insults too. :D Here's the thing... shotguns have a disadvantage built in that they need to be pretty close, and truly put you in danger if you don't OHK. Snipers can only OHK with headshots, which takes more skill, forces the guardian to be relatively stationary, and people have more options to avoid them. (Unless you're getting spawn camped on First Light.) D2 maps aren't as sniper friendly as D1. Fusion rifles can be fired very quickly with back up plan, and can kill at a range where they aren't in any immediate danger from anything but another fusion rifle. They get a good bit of aim assist and flinch doesn't mean much because you generally start by aiming at the feet anyways. They can safely fire twice before being in shotgun danger. It's past a point of balance. Talk amongst yourselves. :D

Why weren’t ya complaining about erentil in seasons 4-7? Oh yeah; ya were too busy complaining about other weapons.
-
Thank you I been tweeting bungie dev's this for months and showing them vids of the best sniper in the game

Fusion rifles need an impact buff in PvE and anything other than High Impact frames need an impact buff in PvP. Range in all of them should be reduced and charge time reduced. This would make fusions more similar to shotguns. I think fusions and shotguns should both get a buff to pellet spread too to make them both less RNG based on how many pellets hit a target. Right now for both archetypes it’s just too random. But yes, I agree with you that the range in HI fusions are out of control. Makes precision frame, adaptive frame, and rapid fire frame fusions obsolete in most game content, especially PvP.

Here we go again...
Nerf fusion rifles.

Buff Edge Transit.
Remember kids, It's better to be a fusion Monkey than a shotgun ape

Editado por sonicfind: 10/23/2019 10:32:10 PMBetter idea: in Destiny 1, fusion rifles had high, though steep, range. You would have max damage until a certain point where it is immediately sliced in half. The only reason they were balanced in Destiny 1 is due to how much slower projectiles traveled. Because they traveled so much slower, players had to put in extra effort in shooting much farther ahead of their target - especially compared to fusion rifles now. If we returned to this format, two things would happen: 1. The skill ceiling, and skill floor, would be pushed higher up the scale. Aiming at a target is good, but being able to predict where they'll go and aiming at that spot instead is something else entirely. 2. Fusion rifles on the lower end of the spectrum in terms of damage would get a very sizable buff as being able to kill would no longer be dictated by whether it can keep damage at long range - seemingly making only high-impact high-range fusion rifles viable - and instead would be dictated on one's ability to aim their shot.
-
I agree. I think a 20 meter damage cap would put them in a better place. This gives them over twice the range of a ‘god roll’ shotgun but means all primaries could out range them if you played your distances correctly. It would increase the skill ceiling for good fusion players and stop some of the fusion apes.
-
I have a better idea all you have to do is make it use ammo when people pre-charged the shot if using Fusion rifles actually had to use their charge time they would be far less unbalanced
-
I don't have a problem against fusions. I notice the times I get killed by them I was out of cover for too long or pushing when I wasn't supposed to. It's the same with getting sniped for standing dead center in a sniper lane.
-
Uhhh, 30-ish meters is intended (medium) range. They're quite fine. You have summoned me.
-
Honestly I don't think people understand how a fusion rifle is supposed to work lmao. It's intended as a mid-range weapon, not as a short-range. ( ・ ิ ω ・ิ ) Git Gud
-
It’s funny, I just assumed everyone knew how crazy they were but apparently a fair few folks on here are defending the range. Definite surprise. I guess if people use something, they don’t want it to be nerfed and if people are killed by it, they do.
-
-
I'm less bothered by the range and more bothered by its ability to absorb flinch and still land four bolts ALL THE TIME.
-
Watch out we got some hurt erentil users in the forums. Thats a nerve youre hitting bub.
-
It's really not. They're called fusion rifles, not shotguns. Get over yourself.
-
Fusion rifles have always had this range and dumb kids who've been using a shotgun for 4 years and just now discovered it. Nerf a single Fusion Rifle and nerf money as well. Many people will walk.

Easy everyone use a fusion if there's too many players using that weapon bungie will step in with a nerf guess my rebuke and erentil will be used alot til that happens try rack up as many guardian kills as I can for my kill tracker 😂🤣
-
Serf the nhit out of them bungo. Do what you do best!
-
Fusions are fine where they are now. Try not running at them out of cover. That will help you.
-
Just come clean: Someone shoved Erentil's up your ass and it hurt.
-
There is an audio cue, they are slow, and at range are easy to dodge. Its you......
