I know it's not out yet, but we already know that certain mods are tied to specific elements. That's confirmed.
Also confirmed, sniper mods are void while shotgun mods are arc. This means that you cannot run both at the same time, since both perks are on the legs.
This means that you cannot effectively run Chaperone plus a sniper on Way of the Wraith effectively while utilizing Armor 2.0. This build is essentially dead unless you use Year 1 armor.
I know this is only one example, but it gets the point across. Locking mods to specific elemental armor is going to limit the capability of creating unique builds, thisbdefesting the entire purpose of Armor 2.0.

You can use general mod then. Part of what makes a game balanced is limiting what can stack and what doesn't. Plus you're going to find it pretty difficult to find sympathy in complaining that running double specials is hard. No shit.

I’m pretty sure you could still do both. If the sniper perks are on the helmet and the shotgun perks are on the chest for example you would still be able to do it
