I do not like Phoenix Cradle.

So at first my reaction to Phoenix Cradle was "cool I can use bottom Sunbreaker more now" it's one of my favourites and using it with a couple of select exotics can make it fun. But I don't like Cradle, as it's a buff disguised in gear form, if I run Bottom tree after getting Cradle I'm pretty much forced into it. No more unque exotic choices and combos. The same with Skullfort, literally no reason to use anything else with Strikers in PvE. Skullfort overall has a busted ability, but Cradle is just a band-aid to sunspots.

Naw. Hallowfire Heart stacks great with sunspots already and I don’t see that changing. Synthoceps are still a great neutral exotic. Peacekeepers are unironically good given Recluse’s power. Armamentarium allowing for double nades means double sunspot creation. Lion Rampants for that OP movement buff. Actium War Rigs might be back in fashion if auto rifles are getting buffed, and an auto rifle with War Rigs in a sunspot is already pretty fun to use. If all you choose is Phoenix Cradle then that’s on you. Realize that because of the changes made to damage stacking, you really only need one person to run a buff class, and maybe one extra for backup. So if you already have someone running well or bubble and you’re running sunspots, there’s little reason to use Phoenix Cradle.
