Just make Gambit less mandatory for quests, it pops up everywhere in quests and it's being forced on us if we want to collect gear completely unrelated to Gambit.
No one I know in my clan or between my friends like this game mode.
We get it, it's a new and innovative game mode, but it's not for everyone.
PvP isn't either but it's more accesible in terms of loadouts and tasks that you have to do, it's nothing like Gambit which is so limited in ways you can play it and what loadouts you can use.
You are also artificially making it seem more popular than it is by doing this.
Also, make primary weapons great again.

I think Gambit is great... if the heavy economy was better balanced and there were a vc free way to communicate in-game.

I enjoy Gambit... maybe not when squeakers quickly drop last two remaining motes into the bank when I’m trying to complete gambit Bounties and have been trying to drop that last 15 motes... ugh But in general I enjoy it. I wish they’d give Gambit Prime it’s own ranking system separated from regular gambit.

I honestly wish that there wasn't forced gameplay at all. Like, if you want the Recluse, you could choose the path you take. Get it through Strikes, Gambit, Crucible, etc ... but then whichever means you obtain it through it gets perks for that aspect of the game: bonus boss damage or extra super progress on Guardian kills or extra motes dropped with precision kills, etc

I'm fine with the best weapons, such as recluse, requiring high skill to achieve, and I'm also fine with some ofnthese weapons not being obtainable for everyone. I think this it how it should be for many pinnacle weapons. They are pinnacle, not casual weapons. They shouldn't be for every casual player. Games are allowed and encouraged to have "summit" style achievements. For example, I will never get Not Forgotten. I have accepted this. People need to accept they won't get Recluse too, or they simply need to improve their game.

Yeah I think something like this would be the solution, there are already quests/bounties that give extra vs other guardians, you can just scale it up to match the difficulty/time it takes but adding several options.
