Honestly I feel this is something Bungie should have done from the beginning. If someone doesn't know the cause of the ban then they can't understand it or try to argue it. This whole we ban without telling people and will not discuss it for any reason (unless they're a huge influencer type) is a horrid business decision.

I can agree with you that it may be discussed. Heres the issue. Once bungie disposes what it is thats getting banned, people who can write code, can make programs to get around bungies security, since it is revealed what triggered it. Bungie is kinda taking a chance answering some of these posts. Its a very slippery slope. So for them to even take that chance, it has to be appreciated

The whole point of the "security team" is to enforce the rules and out code the hackers. It's clearly them just not wanting to spend the money to do the job in a community friendly manner. Not everyone banned does the things intentionally. People do get banned just because they got MM with a cheater at times you know. Doesn't sound fair to me.
People do get banned just because they got MM with a cheater at times you know
No they do not. You would have to be in a premade team to get banned or restricted for playing with a cheater.

Except it has happened. Love you.

I have never seen it. Everyone that was restricted or banned I have seen was in a premade team, mostly from LFG.

Not really here to discuss if bans are fair or not. That would take a whole thread from both sides lol. At the end of the day, bungie has finally opened up about the bans a bit and that should be appreciated. Its still their game and their rules, same as the rules you have in your house. They arent banning people because they wake up in the morning and draw certain peoples names out of a hat. They are trying to protect the integrity of their game. They have nothing to gain from a customer standpoint by banning paying customers. Its a nessecary evil that they have accepted
