Well obviously, first off, they both have the same name. But another interesting thing is that the Otherside sparrow appears to have the skull of an animal on it, the same animal Bad Juju has on it. This could be a complete coincidence, but that means Otherside was likely built by Toland. And when you look at the lore for Otherside, it talks about the “player on the other side”, an enemy just as powerful as we are. The “other side” is talking about the Ascendant Plane, so apparently we have some extremely powerful enemy somewhere in the Ascendant Plane. I suppose it could be Toland, but I’m also wondering if there is some dark or Taken Guardian somewhere in there.

Otherside (Sparrow) refers to your exact equal....on the opposing side. We may encounter such a being during our battle with the TetraShips. Our Guardian is supposedly the defecto Champion of Light....we're bound to meet the 'Champion of Dark" who may be our equal in every way, shape, and from. Of course it could just mean your equal in Crucible, gaming, business, or life in general. Other side (BadJuju Quest). Feels unfitting. As BadJuJu was originally Toland's creation, yet we get it from Calus. Maybe Toland gave it to Calus to give to us....who knows. BadJuJi being in Calus' possession just doesn't feel right, givin we had the original on Earth during the Red Legion attack.

I’m convinced that that sparrow is referring to 2 guardians, one of them being you. You both are the same except one chose the Vanguard in the allegiance quest, and the other chose the drifter. Although people say it was basically the same thing and the choice has no impact, I believe that that choice will have both guardians split off and go deeper down the path they chose, the Vanguardian to the Light, and the Dredgen to the Dark.

That’s a rat skull. Not a bird skull.
-
Otherside could refer to when you invade in Gambit. Drifter may refer to the enemy side as “other side”. The flavour text for otherside or lore entry for it also mentions how “their is a person unseen and quiet...
-
Otherside sparrow is a rat skull. Bad juju is a crow skull
-
Zero. Bungie just isn't very creative and reuses names. All. The. Time. Queenbreaker HVT and The Queenbreaker LFR for example.
-
-
Bungie forgot that there was a sparrow with the same name? Happened with a shader recently..... Maybe they are rhcp fans?
-
Not to mention it has some similarities to the rat king gun too.
-
-
If it’s the sparrow I’m thinking about, it has the same pattern as the Rat King on the sides. Wouldn’t doubt it if somehow, in some way, they were linked.
-
The skull on the other side is a rat and bad juju is a bird
-
They have nothing to do with eachother chief Ratking is related to the otherside sparrow Bad Juju is related to the otherside mission They have different skulls lmao
-
Interesting hey. The ascendant plane is their normal world and the guardians world is their ascendant plane.
-
The otherside sparrow is related to rat king
-
The skulls are different. The sparrow skull has rodent teeth, the Bad Juju default skull has a beak. Try inspecting them in the app.

Hmm, I don’t really know. The name “Other Side“ in those two cases refers to two different ideas. I don’t really see a necessary connection between the two, except for the skulls. But I can definitely say that a sort of “dark mirror guardian” isn’t what the lore of the sparrow is talking about. It’s the idea that an enemy is out there who is equal to you in every way. Strength, Intelligence, experience, you name it. And you are fated to meet them at one point. It doesn’t have anything to do with the Darkness or Ascendant Plane, especially since this idea comes from loong before the Golden Age.

That’d be super cool
-
Check the sparrows lore. I think that the ascendant plane is where the player on the other side lurks.
