With the introduction of ground-breaking new hand cannons inside of destiny 2, such as the last word, austringer, or lumina, it is sad that the console population of the game still faces a certain problem that stops these weapons from anchieving their performance in pc: Bloom. This mechanic present in most hand cannons creates a certain meta that has prevailed in ps4 and xbox one for a long time, as well as obscuring certain fan-favorite weapons, such as thorn, eyasluna, and much more, and with the lack of representation that the console community has on platforms like youtube, it worries me that these excellent weapons will never see a rework on console, so please Bungie. Prove me wrong, and make console handcannons great again.
I, for one second this, I don't like the idea of gunfights relying on a mechanic like bloom when it is (I'm assuming) probably easier to increase the damage falloff if you use a weapon outside of its intended range. In my opinion bloom is a bad way of balancing weapon classes because of its rng nature and how it impacts weapons with lower range stats.
