There needs to be a penalty of sorts
For players who go into gambit or other activities and don't do anything. I'm tired of having matches where people just sit in front of the invade portal and waste them or just don't do anything at all just because they want the powerful gear.
Edit: I get it, not everyone likes gambit. But ruining the experience for other players is scummy and the reason gambit is getting to be so toxic.

I absolutely despise pvp and anything pvp related, the powerful rewards are the only reason I go in to the content. They can incentivize me to go in but they can’t make me put in any more than minimal effort. Now I never go as far as to afk, but in gambit I just shoot hostiles, I ignore motes, invaders, and invading. In crucible I just shoot at any red names that pop up and try to capture zones. I don’t care about winning or losing and only put in effort if there’s some reason to. When I wanted malfeasance I put in 100% effort, when I did the Ace quest pre-nerf, thorn, and last word I did the same. Believe me, again, nothing would make me happier than to never set foot in any pvp content again. But until the powerful rewards are done in such a way that you can obtain ALL of them purely through PVE I will still be going in to the games doing the bare minimum.
