Please watch a strategy video on how to do this stuff if its going to be a big time commitment. Basically you wasted all that time on resets. You need to do 5 resets in one season.
If you decide to go for it again, start early and play often next season. Probably play a few PVP matches per day and play lots during double/triple valor for bigger gains.

I got my 5 resets in Season 4, but i was playing everyday and was also going for Luna's howl. I finished the 5 resets in 10 weeks.
