YAY.....more monetization!.....( said no one ever....) Season of Shopulence

sooooooooo Bright Engrams you get for leveling up only have old stuff now and new stuff if you want you HAVE to spend Bright Dust or Silver for.........TIGHT! What was wrong with the way things worked before? Why not make it so people who missed out on year 1 stuff can now buy it for Bright Dust and let Season 7 earn stuff through Bright Engrams normally? Why not add 2 engrams then, 1 for Season 7 and one for Y1? What was wrong with the Matrix system before? So many people defending the change, tell me, what was wrong before? People who missed out on year 1 stuff due to RNG are STILL going to have to fight with RNG so how is this better for them? Wouldn't it make more sense to let people spend Bright Dust on year 1 stuff in the catalog so they can get specifically what they're missing and NOT making it harder for people to start collecting Season 7 stuff?

  • I see the masses are still mostly missing the key issue. Per Chris Barrett some time back “We recognize that the scales are tipped too far towards Tess at the moment, and Eververse was never intended to be a substitute for end game content and rewards.” Let's consider one example... D1 - 4 raids, 4+ raid ships. People ground for them, especially Aksis ship lol. D2 - 5 raids (ok, 2 raids and 3 lairs), 1 ship. EV has impacted the D2 reward system since the day it launched. From the most basic level of patrol looting, to end game cosmetic grinding. Another lie from Bungo, to add to the ever growing list. "But but but it's only cosmetic" I hear you cry. Yeah you're right, and I look upon anyone who buys this comestic crap with a mixture of scorn, derision and pity. Fact remains though, people enjoyed grinding specific old content like raids to get that cosmetic stuff, people enjoyed knowing that grinding a certain activity would give you a shot at a certain, often rare, cosmetic item, and that has been taken away throughout D2 purely to try and gain extra coin. Sheer greed, nothing more, nothing less.
