  • Thing is, if they added more strikes, they would either have to make a completely new location like warden of nothing, or find some creative way to make a linear pathway out of the locations they already have. They might be able to figure something out on nessus or edz but thats it. And then they'd have to record a bunch of voice lines (in multiple languages) before they actually get to the important part: fun and unique encounters and bosses. I feel like this is a problem that can only be fixed in destiny 3. 1. Design locations from the start to be less like circles and more like webs. Tons of areas of varying scale with multiple pathways to get from point a to point b. This means that they could continue to make strikes with a location that they've already made along a route that they've already laid out. The only "new" content they would have to make are a boss, a boss room, and new voice lines. 2. Make strikes shorter. Have a few voice lines at the start and a few voice lines at the end. We don't need cringey jokes shoved in our ears while we're trying to shoot stuff. We don't need someone explaining every single mechanic like we're too dumb to figure it out ourselves. We don't need a huge distance to cover in between encounters (while we ride on sparrows, skip enemies, and ignore the pretty skybox) just to get to the boss. Focus on a cool boss and fun encounters. People will remember a good strike for the gameplay, not the big empty spaces and awful dialogue. I'm guessing for destiny 2 that they'll add a new location in year 3 and it'll come with one or two strikes and thats it :( I don't understand why we haven't gotten any pvp maps tho. Those would be nice too.
