There were leaks a little while ago that suggested we'd be returning to the Leviathan. Google it.
EDIT:
Did it for you, here's a brief summary:
Story: We return to the leviathan and discover the source of emperor Calus's power. This also has the first tease of the darkness enemies to be introduced in D3, and was also teased in the drifters lore entry about creatures on an ice planet that he found.
Weapons: Rose, Hawkmoon, and Dark Drinker are all coming
Activities: Just like how Jokers Wild had "Mamba" as a code-name for Gambit Prime, Penumbra has a code name "Dragonslayer" for it's pinnacle activity. A new game mode that blends puzzle solving with wave based combat akin to prison of elders, comparable to an escape room
Now this comes from a source that accurately leaked many details about each release from the Season pass, but was mentioned as 'early plans' and of course is still a leak from an anonymous source so don't take it as gospel. We'll see in the next couple of weeks.
There was also a rumour of a 12-man raid and some PvPvE stuff but that was likely added by 4chan.

Ya. I read that too... but it's not official, and I wanted to know why big time streamers are 100% certain the raid is on the Leviathan... which, with my two cents, doesn't sound like a good idea.

Yeah sounds lazy again to me. And the Streamers probably got a tip-off at their last summit. You play D1? Ok back to D2, the entrance to the Pyramidion strike always intrigued me as it reminded me of the Vault of Glass. I always hoped that doorway (right instead of left after the initial drop) would open up and reveal a new VoG the Vex had been working on. Stands to reason they'd try again after we beat Atheon. Some of the mission areas on IO, especially the Whisper mission are so cool and full of potential. At the very least they could have made another 'dungeon' there. But no, back to the Leviathan again. I'm hoping at least its to tidy up the slightly messy story of the Cabal emperor turning up and then just sitting there, occasionally inviting us to play Takeshi's Castle/Wipeout/Kryptin Factor for his amusement. Hardly befitting a race that "destroy planets for getting in their way."
Oh god I sound like such a fan-boi, I haven't even played this game for a couple of weeks!
