Bungie, lost their way?

D1 was great, D2, not so much, but it had its moments. Bungie, we need to gain ground, make progress, take back territory. No more, more of the same. What say you players, what say you?

 • I don't think this franchise is even for me to be quite honest. I hate how they are constantly removing things from the game to make way for new things, like when they released Year 2 gear and it made all of the Year 1 gear into basically garbage by comparison, instead of updating Year 1 gear. I also hate the way Eververse works. Like, all of it. The whole thing needs to either be reworked, or die off. So you mean to tell me that because I never earned enough seasonal (-blam!- seasonal bullshit in games btw) Bright Engrams to earn the thing I wanted, it's now behind a permanent RNG paywall, where I MIGHT get the chance to buy it, but only for REAL WORLD MONEY. And then there's the nonsensical design and mechanics of the PvE encounters. Raids and strikes are designed to be ideally done with multiple Guardians, at least 3, sometimes more, even though YOUR Guardian is the LEGENDARY BADASS HERO WHO SAVED THE CITY! I know bullshit when I see it, and that's bullshit. It's a cheap and lazy excuse to not ever have to make encounters that scale with the number of players. I played RPGs almost two decades ago that had proper difficulty scaling and didn't force you to play with other players in order to deliver a basically playable experience. I still play them today, sometimes even with friends, because they weren't set up as stupid live services and I can still host my own games. It's an excuse, a crutch. I highly doubt I'll be able to play Destiny 2 in a decade or more. The entire Borderlands series, and many of my other favorites, will still be playable, probably even with friends, but once Destiny 2 has run its course and the servers are inevitably shut down there's no telling what will happen to the game itself. It may come back in a playable state thanks to the ingenuity of the modding community, but it will require an active community in order to be basically playable, due to the PvE encounter designs. That's my two cents anyway.
