Variks is a traitor , Like the drifter says "If he is so loyal, where is he?"
He should have been one of our forsaken targets
I vote for our buddy Mithrax, half you -blam!- kill him anyway, even after he surrenders the reactor to you, and he still forgives you
Mithrax has understood that the Eliksni have no future without the help of the great Machine and it's chosen , something other fallen are too stubborn and brainwashed to grasp , so they get Nova Bombed

Editado por demonbane343: 4/19/2019 6:52:37 AMForgive us for what? That reactor belongs to humans not fallen and he knew he didn't stand a chance against us, it was run or die. edit: All fallen need to die, you don't start a war of genocide and expect you intended victims to show you mercy.
-
Technically the lower members didn't ask for a war against humans. The hierarchy that warred with us has almost been entirely eradicated
-
And the lower rank went along with it.
-
Under that system they hardly had a choice. Besides, plenty of people go along with the wrong side simply because they were indoctrinated into it or because all their species or family belong to it
-
They outnumber the higher ups and considering how incredibly violent their culture is they could gang up on the leaders. Just because the opposite side does not go against your moral means that they are the right side, it all depends on which side you are on and the fallen are on the fallen side.
-
And some fallen are on our side. This has been proven. You don't have to like it or want it, but it has been proven, lore wise.
-
Are you talking about miraaks or whatever? It seems less the are on our side and more that they realise the they -blam!-ed up and we are the only way for them to survive, now they hope to use bleeding hearts to get in with us while ignoring everything that happens from to time the came to sol until now.
-
Then you obviously have either not read the lore or have not I understood it. There isn't that much to discuss on that matter. It's a story. The story said a fallen wants be friends and fight together.
-
I read the lore, not just the ones were the fallen want to be friends. They are dying and it has come to a point that they cannot ignore.
-
So have I, and I'm not denying that point. But you are denying the point that some are actually good. Variks betrayed his kind because they were murdering innocents. Variks also tried to warn the city about the Red legion. Spider, while not to be trusted, has been useful and hasn't killed us at first glance. Mithrax is part of a fireteam and is friends with guardians.
-
The few who are "good" don't mean jack. Variks caused the whole death of cause, the prison break that saw all the prisoners that the fallen were keeping for some god forsaken reason free on the solar system and had a significant part to play in the dreaming city's current condition, oh and the skorn who he made. Spider's territory was invaded and he didn't have the power to take it back on his own, he had info we wanted so we struck a deal, that does not make him in any way good. And mithraks or however his name is spelt saw that the fallen we on a steady decline and is hinging the survival of his species on guardian, unfortunately he found 2 gullible fools to start with, I personally hope that the suffer their final deaths for joining one of humanities enemies.
-
You base your entire argument on Mithrax on opinions, not what the lore itself has told you. The Awoken were the ones who truly ran the Prison remember? The inmates belonged to them, Variks was Warden. Variks was tricked by Fikrul into making those scorn it's plain from the lore. All of this is just your opinion on the Fallen and your theories as to what their heart motives are. All we have is the lore to go by and it proves you wrong. Without lore as the base I'm afraid this conversation is going nowhere
-
Editado por demonbane343: 4/20/2019 8:07:29 AMI base my opinion of mithraks that way because I see absolutely no reason to trust him. The awoken put Variks in charge of the prison which is why he was able to so easily shut down the security. Variks was experimenting with the dark ether he got in order to increase the effectiveness on fallen but it only ended in dead then resurrected fallen and destroyed servitors. If you feel that this convo is going nowhere then fine.
-
It is because like you just said you are basing your opinion of Mithrax, for example, because you don't see a motive basically. That isn't the point of if you think he's trustworthy or not when the lore says what his intentions are
-
The lore also made it seem like the fallen came to the city in peace when they came to sol but we know that the city didn't exist at that time, the lore on mithraks is also him speaking so I am her skeptic of it.
-
The lore on Mithrax is in third person narration, not his own. It is given in a traditional story format
