I want SOMEONE @ Bungie who knows, to answer these. (Spoilers)

When you do the thunderlord mission, you get a very cryptic end of mission objective. "Leave the Cosmodrome?" "When you're done exploring the Cosmodrome, head for the transmat pad and return to the Tower. But there might still be something of interest in the area..." We all could figure out with common sence that the "exploring the Cosmodrome" part refers to going around the area outside the wall finding the scannables. What really confuses me is the "There might be something of interest in the area..." part. Notice how it says "something" as in referring to one unknown thing, not "some things" referring to multiple things. So it is safe to assume that this piece of the description is not referring to the scannables. But when everyone brushed it off as meaning the scannables, we all just gave up, we all took the easy, lazy way out of this mystery. Bungie never corrected us, so we all thought it was a wild goose chase. But, Bungie never said we were right either. So what if, we gave up on something amazing???? This is why I am here to ask: Bungie, What did you mean by that cryptic line? Was there truly something we missed? was there a secret end to the mission? Please for the love of god, why did you take us back to old russia, just to leave us with one cryptic line: "There might still be something of interest in the area"? was it to lead us on a wild goose chase? Was it to give us false hope that there might be a way to stay in the Cosmodrome by unlocking a secret ending? Was it to tell us that there is a way to stay in the Cosmodrome? A way to trigger a secret ending? PLEASE, for the love of Cayde, PLEASE tell us. PLEASE answer these questions. Those who want to find out should like this post, so that we may find out why you used that cryptic line. PLEASE, I'm begging you, PLEASE, stop this torture on my mind.

  • There's nothing. If there was something and it wasn't found in a couple of days they woulda leaked it to their precious youtubers to put out.

It's just a hint to look for something and you'll find the scannables. That's it. You're taken the word not being plural as too literal. The secret was finding the scannables last year and it's the same secret this time. It would have been found the first time or other people would be talking about a new secret they found by now already. People have scoured every inch of the mission and tried all kinds of tactics to try and cause something different to happen.

I scoured the place. I even reached the inaccessible area behind the grates (use top tree Dawnblade or missile Titan to fly through the top right corner of the grate across from the entrance to the boss tunnel) and there’s nothing. I think it truly is just scannables.
