2 month PVP restriction for unstable connection

I live in Kuwait and I use ADSL connection with 4 Mb download and 600k upload speed. the router is hardwired to the ps4 pro and no other device is connected to the router at all. Before joker's wild I had no problem at all with the connection only guitar errors and some common bugs in the game. After jokers wild I got the warning banner for unstable connection beside being kicked along my fireteam with several error codes all are listed as general network errors so I did some research and did some NAT config to the router so that all the ports listed in the guides here are manually set to be forwarded to my ps4 pro IP beside the ports listed in battle.net as well, then I got 2 weeks restriction as unstable connection. Anyway within the 2 weeks of restriction I contacted the ISP and they ensured me that I have no problem at all according to the router logs in terms of errors or packet loss from my side but what they can do is switch my connection to a gaming connection with a better route to Europe were most of the servers of the games are located (although I never had any problem with any other server client model game) I agreed and the switched my route, changed my IP and they ensured that this the lowest latency I can get in Kuwait (and they charged me more for this connection than the normal one). after that I have been playing for two weeks with no problem at all while I'm solo playing but with lot's of errors while playing with friends I play mostly with friends from Egypt, Australia, UAE, Qatar, US, Guinea. some of them might suffer from laggy connection specifically the ones in Egypt due to the country infrastructure but the problem was never in my side and It's clear as they even drop from the voice PSN party. I tried to go for gambit and gambit prime and kept being kicked out with the whole fireteam with banners of incomplete match according to the forum looks like this happening from everyone. Yesterday morning while logging to the game I got a banner with 2 month restriction due to consistently unstable connection. so would anyone at bungie team please explain to me what is my actual problem and why I'm getting restricted as my ISP says there is no problem at all in my connection and I do not have any problem with any other game. Would it be that I play with friends that have laggy connection due to their country infrastructure? or that the matchmaking is matching me with players that are far away from me? Something is clearly not right about the game networking model and matchmaking algorithm and I'm being held off from what I paid for because of it. Please everyone unless you are from bungie do not reply. ( I do not need some silly explanation about latency and packet loss or bungie polices I have already had enough earlier at the 2 weeks restriction post)

 • This is purely because of the game model, I have seen players hitting the walls in PvP matches and yet they are still playing, the matchmaking model needs to be revisited completly, they need to look into players complaints, we paid to enjoy the game not to be banned for an entire season. I hope you get an answer from someone that really have brains, not just to give the BS answer about connection or the regular bla bla bla they say here. Since the Joker's wild update and the game is having a serious issue with networking. it happens a lot to be kicked out of a match with various errors and yet they didn't take any action to solve it.

 • Your friends would not cause YOUR connection to lag and cause connection problems. It definitely will NOT help your connection. But understand, when you received your warning it wasn't for THAT week that you got the warning. It was likely from WEEKS ago. That means you have been lagging for quite some time. ADSL connections are probably the absolute WORST connections to use to play P2P games with (second only to Satellite internet). Unfortunately, you need to have the cleanest pipe and the best speed package from your provider if you want to avoid being restricted again. They will not discuss it, they will not tell you how or who detected it, nor will they tell you how to fix it as it is on YOU to maintain a premium high speed connection for this game. Understand with each subsequent update, you will lag more and more with a poor connection because with each update, it is going to push more and more data. That means it will only get worse with further updates (just like it did with D1). With this recent update, my upload data usage went up by 10% and download by 8%; just so you know. No one from Bungie will discuss this with you. They will refer you to the network setup guide including spending money on quality equipment. They will not overturn it or reduce your restriction. They will simply point you to their policy which is here: https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Article/11929
