My life as a potato.
Ever since I joined Destiny, 5 years ago, my status was set at “I’m a potato.” Today, I’m proud to announce that I am still a potato. Let me explain why.
Twenty-four years, one month, and a few weeks ago, I spawned from a seed tuber deep in the ground of Idaho. During this time, I grew plump in starch and developed many eyes. I wasn’t exactly a Yukon Gold, but I was also more than a baby red. In comparison to other crops, I like to think that I was the “cream of the crop” when it comes to potatoes, mainly due to my ability to be less “potato” compared to many, if not most, other potatoes. I was a valued potato, I was, a russet potato.
In due time, I realized I’m not actually a potato, but just a dude. So, in my free-time, I put on brown pants and a brown shirt, rolled up under a blanket, and pretended that I am once again, a Russet potato. I will always be a potato, no matter what. There’s nothing better in this life or that I enjoy more than being a potato; except being a human that loves to eat potatoes.
Words of wisdom - enjoy life. Be a potato once in awhile. Sometimes it’s good for you.
