Here's how you do The Last Words PvP requirements in the easiest way possible
1) If you are not good don't EVER be the first one through the door. Let someone else do that.
2) STOP -blam!-ING RUSHING
3) Stay BEHIND your team and take picks from a distance.
4) If they are better or you are dying a lot to one person or you are down players then LEAVE THE MATCH. THERE IS NOTHING FORCING YOU TO STAY, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LEAVE. Why would you sacrifice the progress you've made just to lose it because you refused to leave and find a new match?
5) If you see red on your radar use the Jostar Family Technique and run the -blam!- away. Put a teammate between you and the red mark. Be a bitch. Because guess what? It's better than losing progress. Just like in D1 with Thorn and Chaperon. Be a bitch, it works. Crouch in corners, it works. Use invis, it works. Be that piece of shit that you yell at when you round a corner and he kills you out of nowhere. Become that player.
6) If you are losing progress rapidly leave.
7) If you are losing progress rapidly leave.
8) See points 4, 6, and 7.
If you are being punished for dying then you need to play smarter. You don't have to play better. You don't have to play harder. You don't have to play longer. YOU. JUST. HAVE. TO. PLAY. SMARTER.

Yes, leave that match if you start dropping progress. I left a match after I went from 70% to 62% in a matter of seconds then when I went find a different match they put me in the same one to which I was spawned killed twice by the same person. Then I said forget it and played through ended with 83% thankfully

With the buff to scouts, maps with long range areas I tried them out successfully. Did the step in 5 games sticking to the outer edges of maps with a scout or bygones with telesto as a back up to shotgun rushers.

1 RespuestaIt's actually not bad advice. Hey, the leaving part does screw people over, but don't blame the player if that's how the system works. However, this is for people who are TERRIBLE at PvP and still wants TLW. There's not a lot of them because if you are average at PvP, or somewhat below average like me, you WILL get this done. I got that requirement done in about 10-12 matches if I remembered correctly. It was frustrating at first because I was playing it safe. I tried to use pulse/scouts and such, but it was not my regular play style so I ended up with 1-2% gains per match or sometimes at the same spot. I then got irritated and just started playing my regular style and was able to do finish it at a faster rate per match. Anyhow, the gun is cool enough, but it's crap in PVE. I mean, fun to run and gun but it's ugh damage wise. Stick with AoS or Malfeasance if you want to run around with an exotic HC in your Kinetic. Hell, Rat King or Crimson works too.

14 RespuestasJust looked it up. My kd is 0.33. Which I think is higher than it was for D1. I’m 63. I do the best I can. Regardless - DO THE MATH. That means - out of every 100 engagements - I get a kill 33 times and die 67 times. So - for the BULLSHIT quest to get the Last Word: if you get 2% for each kill and -1% for each death: 2 x 33 = 66% -1 x 67 = -67% 66 - 67 = -1% Which mathematically PROVES the quest is impossible for anyone with a 0.33 kd ratio. Comparing this to real play - it makes sense. I've played 15 matches and am still sitting at 1%. For anyone at my level - THE QUEST IS IMPOSSIBLE. THE BOTTOM LINE - not everyone can have good kd. It's not mathematically possible. There have to be winners and losers. For every 2.3 kd- there's gonna be a shitload of people like me getting -blam!-ED. And Bungie doesn't give a flying -blam!-. They just wanna bend over and LICK THE ASSHOLES of all the sweaty little -blam!-wads at the expense of -blam!-ING the rest of us. -blam!- BUNGIE

Example. Kill 50 guardians in crucible OR Kill 500 Hive with precision kills in pve This way everybody's happy, and there's a clear choice but with the same result.

You’re right. There’s no arguing with you because the strategy you’ve pointed out will work. Not fun or exciting but you will slowly see your percentages creep up every game. I finished the 1st one with a 0.8KD. It took awhile but I got it done.

I did it in mayhem. Assists also give 2%. So i tethered everywhere for assists.

35 RespuestasThe first couple of points were good but as soon as you said leave if your losing or someone leaves I’m calling it I actually wasn’t sure if you were trolling but I think your serious so thing is if this whole rage quit/leave if I’m not going well is just a cop out No one should be leaving you take a chance that the other team may actually have their sh$t together and be better organised and communicate better when you play pvp. That’s not an excuse to leave What about the others on your team when will people learn your actions affect others it’s never just you in a pvp situation If your say I don’t care etc just think about bungie over the last 4 years 99% of people have one thing where they felt like bungie did something and just didn’t care This is the same principle, I get frustration etc especially when bungie say they will fix this and that and it just doesn’t seem to happen for you But bottom line you step into pvp you may get beaten either take the L or don’t play

If you're having hard time completing this quest, staying above 0.6 kd, then you should pick idiotproof weapons that will get you some assist. Right now quickplay matches have players so bad you couldn't belive it's possible. One guy was shooting me with his handcannon while i was picking up power ammo, by the time i got the ammo and turned to 3 tap him he managed to put just 2 bodyshots in me. Don't do it to yourself, handcannon is precision weapon, go with something easier to handle. My recommended loadout is Cerberus+1 in kinetic slot - use this at close ranges up to medium - with the way this weapon works you will have a legitimate chance at killing your oponents, or getting them low enough to collect some assist. You'll be using this insead of shotgun, as it deals with apes extremly well, you won't be dropping special for sweats to steamroll you further as a bonus. For energy slot take decent pulse, or Black Scorpion - this is really easy to use gun that will net you kills and assist in the long lanes with ease, don't get discouraged by the seemingly low stats- the only time scorpion experiences relevant dmg dropoff is on equinox shooting from A to C, so you'll be fine for majority of the time.

3 RespuestasUnfortunately, with the progress loss on death is, leaving makes more sense than staying in the match when being constantly gunned down... It's a quest which needs completion if you are going for the gun. It's all about efficiency, staying and dying and getting back to 0% is not efficient.. It's counterproductive... I hate quitters in PVP but given the requirements for this quest, I fully understand why people quit now. I just started the quest and am at 16% after a match. Mid match I was at 22% but then the game turned and I lost 5%.. After seeing that I lost 5% I immediately thought, screw it, next time I'm out. This will cost me an additional 2 or 3 matches or even more to complete the quest. The extra time needed for that could be better spend in doing the next step. Why would I extend the grind just for the sake of extra grind?? This quest step is completely counterproductive and causes a negative impact on PVP as a whole (which is allready in a bad place).

Just on your point about leaving: While I agree that that's best for [i]you[/i], it sucks for your teammates (so I wasn't willing to do it). I blame Bungie for putting a situation like that together, but I feel bad making other players shoulder the burden.
