I recently realized that the Exotic Sparrow now available in this year's Dawning can't be obtained by players who don't own the Forsaken DLC. In order to obtain the Sparrow, players must bake 12 unique recipes, but without the DLC, they can only bake 11. This also locks them out from masterworking their oven. I saw that this issue has been pointed out on the subreddit (with many unhelpful "just buy the DLC" comments from people who own Forsaken), but I haven't noticed it here in the actual forums. In order to be clear, yes, I am aware that you can purchase ingredients from Eva in order to make all recipes. The issue is that when you bake something using those purchased ingredients, you receive Burnt Edge Transits, rather than the intended gift. So, while players who don't own the DLC do have access to all the ingredients, they can't bake all the gifts. This, in effect, puts up a pay wall for players who don't own the Forsaken DLC. I find this to be in direct contrast with what was said in the Dawning 2018 Announcement post: "All players of Destiny 2 are invited to join the celebration." Hopefully, the Destiny 2 Team is aware of this issue and will quickly provide a fix for it.
