In some aspects it's worse than certain legendaries, e.g., Main Ingredient and Loaded Question. Each of these has both a faster base charge time and a higher impact than Merciless. It pales in comparison to its main competitor, Telesto. Telesto (like most other fusions) again, has a faster base charge time [b][i]and[/i][/b] more impact, in addition to no damage dropoff, the ability to create traps, exploding bolts, and automatic reload on multikills. The only redeeming factors of Merciless are its 8-round magazine and its potential use on really high-health enemies. Otherwise, there's no practical reason to use it over literally any other fusion. It could really use either a base charge time decrease or an impact increase - preferrably the latter.
