Almost a year ago, I got a friend of mine to buy the dlc for destiny 2, I’ve told tons of people how “great” this game was, and influenced lots to buy it, and right after forsaken came out I got another friend of mine to buy destiny 2 with the forsaken annual pass. Now, I’m a collector. I’ve been grinding my ass off to get every sparrow in the game, spending 7 WEEKS to do the ascendant challenge so I could get the eggs all because I wanted to have every sparrow. AND THEN destiny thinks it’s a great idea, after I’ve spent around $200, to release the game for free! (Oh and let’s not forget about that “amazing” loot we are getting for compensation smh) and after everyone who was unsure about destiny, got it while it was free, they come out with the refer a friend. What idiot thought this was okay??? I’ve PERSONALLY brought around $450-$500 to destinys table. I feel like I deserve that sparrow, and I feel like a whole ton of other players deserve it too. Destiny has been constantly screwing the dedicated players that bring in the money by waiting until all those players have bought the products, and then releasing that same content for free just for more advertisement (which in my opinion was their only good call, I don’t mind other players getting it free), BUT THEN adding insult to injury by giving us absolute crap loot as a “thank you for buying”, and finally coming out with this rigged refer a friend. It’s just fing fabulous to know that I’ll NEVER complete my collection because of this one, single sparrow. I had my friends buy the game too soon I guess. Thank you for reading my essay, I just feel like this stuff had to be said. I’m excited for destinys future and the content they will release, it just constantly feels like destiny keeps throwing their dedicated fans under the bus for advertisement purposes. Keep up the good work but cut out the bullshit. And PLEASE give me my sparrow you fiends 😭
