I've brought this up before about Weapons and Armor in the Raid being not that distant or at all to Weapons and Armor we can get elsewhere. I have 2 suggestions to try to fix this. Feel free to chime in.

Option 1: Enhanced Trait Perks on Weapons
• Regular text for normal trait perks
• Bold text for Enhanced trait perks

• Dragonfly
• Firefly
• Rampage (1x 21%, 2x 43%, 3x 65%)
• Rampage (1x 26%, 2x 48%, 3x 70%)
• Kill Clip (53%)
• Kill Clip (60%)

Option 2: Two Mod Slots
• Raid Weapons and Armor
- Comes with 2 Mod Slots: 1 for Raid Mods rewarded in the Raid like the ones in Last Wish, the other for your basic Mods
- 2 Raid Mods or 2 Basic Mods cannot be equipped on that piece of armor, only 1 of each
- Allows Raid Weapons and Armor to still be unique and beneficial in other activities. For example, you do an activity that has Taken in it and will double-dip on the benefits of your Mods. If not, you are still using your Raid gear with a Basic Mod of your liking.
-
This would make Raid Weapons and Armor unique even if with gear outside of the Raid having similar rolls/Mods. This would also add replayability of these activities.
I don't bring up anything about Trials gear because I don't feel like I'm qualified to. I hardly ever play PvP. These suggestions could work there as well, but I will always root for the underdogs. I don't think making the most skillful Guardians even more powerful gear-wise would be recieved well. I still want incentive for these people, but I also would like the possibility of comebacks and clutch moments for the lower skilled teams in matchups. PvP rewards is a hard thing to do.

Only if Dungeon gear receives the same treatment.. Not enough people care about Raiding in Destiny to justify it..
-
I did raids in D1 for one reason, elemental primaries. Why anyone ever thought it was a good idea to remove them is beyond me, but we lost them with the release of the taken king in D1 and as far as im concerned the game has been going to shit ever since then.
-
Each piece of armour should have a perk that is essentially one of the mods from the raid, but as a perk, leaving you space for another mod. The weapons should also come with extra damage against Taken, and maybe enemy specific perks like in D1, with shooting through knight shields and stuff.
-
I liked the VoG armor because it gave perks just for the raid, but it then made it really only useful in the raid (in some ways) maybe add those raid exclusive perka with a second option to raid exclusive enhancements that cant be gotten on any other armor set like 25% increase to heavy reserves (there could be many more raid exclusive perks but im not really creative atm)

Editado por RaulShcalke07: 11/17/2018 7:50:04 PMI disagree, especially with gears. It will make non raid gears obsolete like Y1 Gears that didnt have random rolls. All gears should have same level of random rolls, therefore we can have more freedom mixing our gears. Each person has different taste in fashion. Maybe some people liked the design of raid gears, some not. Imagine all players used same gear, in assumption they all done the raid.... same gears, same look, only different in shaders, thats boring. For Weapons, I think making a whole new arctype is more acceptable, therefore raid weapons will have its uniqueness, similar to several NF weapons, like Wardens Law for example even though its broken and need a fix now. Making it more powerful than other Legendary with additional mod slot or enchanced perk will make the game more unbalance for pvp. All weapon besides raid will be forgotten, like most of Y1. Its a waste imo.

Yep I definitely like all of this. Once you reach 600 the raid is much less of a challenge but if there were armor perks that gave you advantages in the raid itself, that would be epic. They did it in D1, so it's certainly possible. They need to make the super rare mods that drop only from the raid more available or increase the drop rate; like Taken Armaments, Taken Invigoration and Taken Repurposing. Taken Armaments is a sick perk and needs to be more available.
-
Enhanced perks are good but what about more Heavy Armors? Seriously, the Warlocks have no Heavy sets.
-
there should be perks that make these guns FEEL unique, like say with the conspirator (leviathan scout) when getting a cabal precision kill and causing its firefly, anyone hit by it will be blinded for a few moments. We can call this perk: Hidden truth
-
If they could do the same with the Leviathan gear as well, that’d be awesome. I miss using that armor.
-
I could get behind these ideas. The only problem I’d see is people who don’t raid and enjoy crucible getting killed by them and complaining about it so I’d say introduce similar pursuits outside the raid but make them lengthy. Maybe something like top tier bounties for limited time activities that could have a chance to rewards those things as well. I also kinda wish now that enhanced perks are a thing their was a way to upgrade a normal perk to an enhanced perk like maybe grinding and making use of the perk and then you unlock the ability to upgrade it and pay with *clears throat* ENHANCEMENT cores to make it an enhanced perk.
-
i think that 2 mod slots on armour and enhanced trait perks on weapons would be good. i grind out dreaming city and raid armour to try and get helmets with enhanced heavy lifting as well as gauntlets with enhanced hand cannon loader, but once i get those that will be it. the number of transfigurations and age old bonds i have dismantled is ridiculous; the guns are just not unique. the only raid weapons that are meaningful to me are the nation of beasts and the supremacy. everything else i dismantle without checking the perks.
-
Agreed. For me there is no incentive to play the raid for the gear.
-
Sounds great. I dont raid much because of the lack of real incentive. This would help.
-
Enchanted perks are very good - I have a full set. Some of the weapons are also top notch for pve. Since you prob hate crucible what more do you want? People already burn Riven as is.
-
They should have stuck with their initial idea of all raid gear having 2 slots 1 for general mods 1 for raid specific mods. No idea why they decided to change this last minute. If they go back to the double mods and make the raid armor RNG rolls instead of it being fixed all mobility base that would help. It sucks you have no choice in pvp but to run raid or dc gear for enhanced perks and that makes you have low recovery / resilience. I’m assuming trials will eventually release and have enhanced pvp based gear. The raid also needs gear that is the outright best to use within the raid. Luna’s howl/nf are basically the King’s of pvp, there really isn’t a single raid weapon that you can say you can’t live without. Even 1k voices, which is great, it does 30% less damage on console which seemingly will never be fixed. It also doesn’t outshine whisper, sleeper, or thunder lord in most situations in the raid. TLDR All raid weapons should come with the taken mod intrinsically + a mod slot. All armor should come with a raid mod intrinsically + a mod slot and true random rolls.
-
I'm gonna vote for Option 2. As cool as Option 1 is, say Option 1 does happen, sooner or later, people are gonna compain about it and Bungie is gonna nerf it unless they actually know what a tooltip seperation between PvP and PvE is.
-
Tbh armor needs to work like Destiny 1. The raid specific perks should be intrinsic to the armor and not a mod. Just my opinion
-
It confuses me because they added Raid based perks to armors for Y1, but they took it out on this set.
-
Need to do something.. I cleared it once and id like to go do it again but why..
-
Forget about meaningful loot. We need better raids period. Last wish is no where good as kings fall or WotM.
-
Cause everyone wants raid weapons that are owned by lvl 600 people running around more then what they are already ;^)
-
Edit: I also think that the gear armor and weapon wise should be like in D1, where a raid gave you exclusive sets that looked amazing, and showed other players that they achieved something hard to do.
-
Someone cares for the solo players like me now! I can now walk with my head up in the crucible!
-
IMO dreaming city/raid armour's mod should apply everywhere
-
Yeah I would either like raid perks to be completely unique or add quests for legendarys in PVE similar to Luna's and Redrixs.
-
Just make it as op as it was in ttk, things like rocket launchers that held 5/6 rockets, stupidly overpowered intrinsic perks. The level of strength should go; exotic, raid (nightfall strikes were around here too), and everything else
