Tonight, Jade Rabbit dropped from the first heroic PE in my flashpoint/festival bounty run. I was excited! The only other exotic I've had drop in Forsaken was Borealis, which dropped at 379 for some reason. I figured I'd pick up Jade Rabbit later, though, because I had barely done anything since loading in to the EDZ. After I completed my flashpoint and bounties, I go back to the tower to find that the postmaster no longer has the rile that would have helped me improve my power level, but she has one improved purple and eleven other items that I immediately junked.
If the postmaster has to delete things because of space issues, can't she at least realize that she should keep the actually valuable things?

It's a joke, you land at tower and are told postmaster is out of space. You're at the fuking tower, you're gonna check it anyway now you're there. You need telling it's full when it actually becomes full, no matter where you are. Being notified at the tower is like bolting the stable door once the horse has gone. USELESS just like the idiot who thought up the idea.
-
You would think they could code a metric that accounts for the item level and start deleting blues before anything else. Or useless materials before gear.
-
Lazy guardians keep a full postmaster Just sayin
-
YEEEEEESSSS. Lost some stuff the other day because it actually seems that blues get preference in postmaster because they get deposited last from sessions where your gear is full. That could be off, but seemed that way. Hope this gets some traction cause it should ALWAYS be weighted IMO; blues don’t push out purples, purples don’t push out exotics, and so on.
-
It works just fine. You went in with (most likely) a full character and allowed a bunch of crap to get sent to Kadi. Entirely your fault. I will assume that your other characters are stuffed with crap and your vault is also stuffed with crap. Clean it up. The problem I see with Kadi being selective about what she tosses is that people will simply just use her for storage also and then whine about her not having enough spaces (as somebody below mentioned about wanting her to have unlimited storage). I bet your parents have to (or had to, depending on your age) stay on your ass to keep your room clean.

DIM does wonders
-
If the postmaster is full for any reason, that's your problem. Maybe don't let it get full?
-
Why the hell would you leave exotics in the post master? I agree that is all your fault. . .
-
Totally your fault. Mommy I’m upset because post master doesn’t have 100 open slots and won’t give me a hand job. Manage your inbox at the postmaster, it’s as simple as that. If you let it fill up with blues and shaders and you’re too lazy to clean it out it’s on you.
-
Clean your post. All these comments wanting the post to act like extra vault space. That is not what its for, and should not be used as extra storage. If you let it get full, its your own fault for not cleaning it out. I do agree however that high level loot, and exotics should take priority over blues. But again, clean out your crap and that wont happen.
-
Okay? How does everyone have a full postmaster, just organize your stuff and delete whatever you don't need. Collections store all the old gear and double spaced vaults hold the new stuff.
-
This is where the app should actually be of use. We should be able to manipulate our postmaster inventory from the phone and move things to the vault or other characters from it so we don’t have issues with lost luggage. If perhaps they increased our available hold limit, that too would be a good idea but alas Bungie wants you stopping and returning to the tower frequently because they don’t like giving up storage space anywhere in the game. I mean we have all these fracking space ships and I can’t even store a handcannon in one!?! I have no clue why they haven’t made the ships more useful than pixelated images that float on screen while “traveling”. Back in Vanilla I was certain Bungie was going to come up with some kinda “Hearthfire” style DLC where we would build our own ships/speeders/shells/shaders out of broken down materials from others and we would be able to get a residence or some form of storage site where we could put stuff since they’re stingy as -blam!- with storage space.
-
The only thing I think could help is if there was an option that blues are scrapped instantly. Other than that you have to clean it out every once in a while
-
We should manage our items better, including the post master. Stop blaming bungie for you being lazy.
-
Keep it clean
-
Bump. We need more postmaster room. 20 more slots sounds fair and reasonable.
-
It my opinion I think the postmaster should have more slots to hold are items. It should be limitless! But bungie wouldn't do that but at less 100 items that the postmaster should hold. And the postmaster should let you know when your close to your limit when your fairway. Postmaster should send a note telling you so. Before deleting unwanted items. And make them as weapon metals for you.
-
2 things 1: this was 100% your fault. You're aware of the fact that you hadn't cleared out your postmaster for awhile but you still kept doing stuff. Gotta clear out. Thats what the app and DIM exists for. 2: There does need to be an option to sift out blues and auto-dismantle them. Nobody who is 600 wants a blue auto rifle, and even if they did it could be an option that can be toggled on and off. Not sure why that hasn't been added yet.
-
Your story doesn’t even make any sense. The post master deletes the oldest items first, so in order for it to have gotten deleted, you must have farmed 20 items worth of things you didn’t pick up after the jade rabbit, and really, that is just your own dumbassery, right there. Especially when you could have gotten on this very app right from the edz and taken out your precious item.
-
An auto-dismantle option, *option* mind you, for blues would solve that.
-
I mean, it should delete the item of lowest rarity first. But you can also use apps to clear out your inventory without even leaving the zone, and you will end up truly appreciating those apps in the long run. So just get the app and use it, it's great.
-
It is your own fault. Having all slots full was your first mistake. And your second mistake was not going to the tower after it dropped ...or grabbing it from the postmaster from the app.
-
Do you really need to carry 10 items in each slot? I carry 5 or 6 and inbetween bounties or public events or stikes I delete the blues. It's your stuff, you have to manage it.
-
Yeah...your fault. Ummm you have wa collections tab though. You can always grab a new one for a small fee.
-
Wouldnt it just be easier to manage your inventory better?
-
I blame Kadi-18
i think that's the postmaster's name
