I have an idea about how Bungie can make the infinite forest better in a later DLC:
So you finish the campaign and get close to the new max light and brother Vance has something to say to you. He tells you that Osiris has been working on some new vex tech in the forest that allows you to revisit past experiences like with Ikora but with other guardians as well (I think you can see what I'm getting at). So you go into the forest with five other people, you strap yourselves into a machine and WHOOSH you're blasted into a "Legacy Raid" which is a destiny 1 raid (Vault of Glass, Crota's End, King's Fall, Wrath of the Machine) that rotates each week.
These "Legacy raids" wouldn't have to drop loot from that specific D1 raid but instead, they could simply drop powerful engrams (engrams that drop loot higher than your power/light level) like the ones from Cayde-6 (may he rest in peace).
I would appreciate your thoughts on this matter.

Holy cow that's a great idea. I was figuring making the infinite forest just a infinite pve area that got progressively harder but your idea is way better.

If I wanna play D1 raids I'll play D1. Infinite Forest should've been like Rifts in Diablo, but it wasn't.

We could also do the same with nightfalls

On top of the new abilities that D2 provides the simulation could have different enemies to fight to help spice up the encounters. Like hive in the VoG or fallen in the Crota raid.

Sounds fun but people are gonna tell you if you want to play old raids go back to D1. Lol Black ops did this with their old zombie maps revamped and brought back to new games so you can enjoy.

Its an idea that seems to make sense. I mean they are simulations so im sure the simulations could be used not only in stopping the vex but in helping Guardians train for future. Plus, since they are simulations id assume we couldn't die die (lore wise) like in the other raids.
