Whoever created it should immediately retire from Bungie.

A few days ago I ended up making a thread regarding what could be done with Blackout to make it tolerable. I linked it here if you want to look at it.

Editado por PhraustStryke: 6/19/2018 11:54:57 PMBlackout isn't the problem, it's all the morons I keep getting paired with running swords during blackout.
-
You spelt challenging wrong.
-
I’m actually fine with blackout. The real issue is the players. I mean, all you have to do differently is be aware of your surroundings. I haven’t had blackout frustrate me yet
-
Glass is worse. Blackout is actually not too bad on thrall-free strikes. Glass gets you dead fast everywhere.
-
I find blackout, well...fun, to be entirely honest. It’s very easy to play around (don’t get near enemies) but it also lends a heightened sense of “stress” or “awareness” to my gameplay. I have to be alert, constantly looking around for any thrall or war dogs trying to sneak up on me. Suddenly the easiest enemies become terrifying hazards to your life. It makes it interesting, while the game still plays mostly like normal. Now, glass and grounded on the other hand... those modifiers purely reduce the fun and slow down gameplay, and should be heavily reworked or removed.
-
All the modifiers are a joke. No matter what they are Bungie devs reduce our power, allow enemies to ohk us with ease & set same enemies up to swarm us. Poor design from unoriginal devs. I now refuse to do any heroic strikes now. The higher power level was challenge enough, now we have "singes" that aren't worthy of the modifier & modifiers that do nothing more than punish the player.
-
This is what I think should be done for Blackout: Split the debuffs. Blackout remains with "no radar" except now enemies are also quieter (so it's easier to be snuck up on). The insta-kill melee is renamed to "Death's grip" and instakills from behind while severely wounding you from the front (allowing you a slight chance of survival if you are backtracking & shooting). Both would be far less punishing but still provide enough risk/challenge if you aren't careful.
-
I wouldn't call it cruel, but I would call it dumb. Bungie has a real problem with making content challenging. They can't seem to figure out how to make enemies better, so the default is to just make us weaker. Just like they can't figure out interesting or imaginative ways to deal with Guardians in melee/shotgun range, so every grounded boss has an AoE stomp that punts you across the map. Fun is too hard, so repetitive and tedious is their answer.
-
When Blackouts on I back out of all Strikes with Thrall. It's ridiculous. One little scratch off Mr Burns and you're dead. Impossible to do with randoms. Unbalanced like everything else...
-
Just skip playing that day. Send Bungie a message with your actions.
-
I had black out and my team got wiped 3 times by some war dogs
-
I just got back into Destiny 2 a couple of days ago. What does this modifier do?
-
Learn to be more aware of your surroundings 🤷♂️ would you prefer an ‘all enemies die with one bullet’ modifier?
-
My issues with blackout are; 1. It’s 2 de-buffs, no radar and 20x enemy melee damage and I don’t think that’s fair. 2. 20x melee damage is a little bit unfair, especially in any activity that has Cabal dogs and endless swarm of Thrall. 3. With no radar active, there are times when you are running a 3 man Strike with a missing player but you can’t tell because the gave doesn’t give you an indicator that you are 2 manning a 3 person activity.
-
It's better than literally having to jump through -blam!-ing hoops!
-
It’s okay in SOME strikes but they could nerf that x20 damage and just make it where it just removes your shield so at least you have an opportunity to escape.
-
The problem with blackout and arc in particular are the efficiency in which adds kill people in their supers. So these strikes end up being tediously long. Longer if there are thrall. Impossible? No. Fun? Definitely not. At any given day or time, folks in our clan would be down to run strikes. Now the first question is....what are the modifiers? Blackout and grounded are the most avoided. Followed by glass. We end up running more prestige Nightfalls and building our own modifier cards. That's a much more enjoyable way to farm catalysts and at least there's some form of loot associated.
-
I can deal with blackout better than I can deal with grounded. Sometimes you don't have a choice but to jump out of the way of an attack but if you do that and the aoe hits you you're ohk and its over but if you stay grounded and strafe you still die cuz you're not fast enough to move out of the way. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. I stick to the hunter on grounded since they have the best strafe game. Restricting my titan's movements is just terrible. I move him by getting a few inches off the ground and lifting. That's a no go on grounded.
-
What does blackout do?
-
The Blackout Modifier is necessary, and not cruel. Here's why: As Light level increases, the difficulty of the Strike playlist decreases. In the long term, Blackout challenges even the most experienced players, a tool to keep this activity replayable. Blackout also tests a player's awareness and escape maneuverability, something useful to practice in. In my opinion, there should be a difficulty option in general for the game. I'm hardcore and hate casual play, unless I'm super tired. I think a true Prestige system should be implemented into the game so that hardcore peeps like me can grind through the game in a more preferable way. I think there should definitely be exclusive rewards for it too, but more commemorative type of stuff like emblems, ships, sparrows, shaders, emotes and Ghost shells. I wanna be able to show off my progress and get Milestone rewards along the way. Let there be a category for Sherpa requirements too.

Editado por dramund3: 6/19/2018 5:57:36 PMIts only annoying to me on hive strikes but not impossible. I hate the glass modifier more.
-
I think grounded is worse because the game your character will have a toe on some steps, think your in the air and you’ll get one shotted cuz you’re standing still because grounded is on lol.

Editado por ricstar: 6/19/2018 12:31:48 PMI dislike some modifiers but they make the game a bit trickier to complete. The grounded modifier should be removed until they put auto climb in the game, I mean you can't walk through an area without having to jump over that stone your guardian is stuck on, piss poor lazy programming. I was stuck yesterday on something when I looked down it was a step my futuristic, awesom, space magic guardian could not walk up, when I said it over the mic my 2 fireteam friends came over to look and laugh at Bungies incompetent programming
