Having run my own clan for quite some time now, some of my admins (and myself) came up with an idea, which if it was given time; we think would be very good. We believe that Clan Communal areas, would re-invigorate clan activity, and give a more specific feel to a clan. It should also give a clan, something to work up too. [u][i][b]Our idea[/b][/i][/u] We thought of adding clan specific communal areas (in the form of ships). These ships would provide new activities which you could complete if you were a part of your clan. The ship would be quite large and consist of one large communal area (similar to that of the traveller, but obviously much smaller). In the main communal area, there could be an internal ranking/leaderboard for pve & pvp. There could be a clan flags (either on the outside or inside of the ship) depending on what milestones the clan has completed that week. There could even be a clan specific postmaster, which would act like the postmaster at the tower but also give extra loot depending on 1.) Clan level and 2.) Your own specific clan xp (or progression). The ship would also contain some additional features for admins, this would be implemented in a "command room" or "control room" where admins will be able to set weekly bounties on clan members (more on that lower down). Manage clan settings, choose clan specific rewards (again more on that later) and manage clan relations (something I will also detail in this post). [u][i][b]Clan activities[/b][/i][/u] If the new "clan update" was released, there would be a number of activities the clan could host, and or partake in. [b]Clan bounty:[/b] The clan bounty would be a weekly clan activity which would be controlled by the admins of the clan. - At the start of the week, the admins choose a clan member to become "a target" for other clan members to kill. - Once a clan member kills the bounty'd clan member, they will become the new bounty. The person who gets the most bounty kills during the week will receive a clan specific reward, such as armour with a specific mod which is relevant to the clan, and the armour may be cosmetically similar to the clan. [b]Clan wars:[/b] The clan war activity will pit two or more clans against one another in a two - round battle. The first round will include the opposing clan's team "raiding" your own ship in the search of glimmer and resources (to increase they're own ship's size and facilities). The second round will simply be the other team raiding the opposing clan's ship. - In a more developed model, clan affiliations could come into play in this activity; for example two or three smaller clan's may unite against a much larger clan. - If this is the case, the loot gained from the "clan war" would be shared evenly between the clans. [b] Clan trading:[/b] Inter clan trading could also come into play, say for example a clan may have a large amount of resources which they have gathered by completing specific events, whereas another may have a large amount of glimmer stored in a shared vault space. The two clan's could trade each others resources at the tower! However, if a clan admin decides that they want to go to war with a clan, they can no longer trade with them until a peace agreement is made! [b]Clan specific rewards:[/b] Clan specific rewards might consist of reskinned items with special modifications depending on the milestones completed by the clan, and how the clan may play in general: For example my clan, a clan which focusses on PVE content, would get clan specific gear which was aimed towards a PVE play style rather than that of a PVP play style. Whereas a clan who complete's alot of Trials of the 9, may get gear which was more suited to PVP. Please upvote this post if you think the idea is good!   • Not bad ideas. I think clan stuff in general needs reworked. I would support clan specific armor, weapons, shaders, etc, for clans that are engaging in activities and help also help other clan mates with goals. (Raids, NF, Trials, anything else that gets added.). [spoiler]This comes from someone who is not in a clan and who is a solo player.[/spoiler]
