I know there are hundreds of complains of the state of the Arcstrider and while I make my point, be aware that it solely focusses on pvp not pve performance of the class and especially the one on one fight with other supers (furthermore I play on PC so this is not necessarily true for consoles). Also I can already hear the Titan, Warlock and the "pro"-Hunters yelling that I am a scrub who can't handle the Arcstrider to its fullest potential and they might have a point. But I think the arguments I want to bring up are fair so maybe first read them before judging me. I also hope someone of Bungie atleast reads this Balancing Ideas. Some of you may agree that the Acstrider kit just lacks survivability in comparison with other supers. While a Palpatine or a Striker is almost unstoppable when hunting you, the Arcstider just seems to be less dangerous and more managable without using a super yourself. The next patch will (apparently) remove the speed difference which is a huge step in the right direction but leave the core problem mostly untouched. The Arcstrider has no initial damage output like the other speccs (Striker or Palpatine), which forces you to use it while in cover or risking to get shot down before even moving out of the activation animation. This gives your targets time to simply outrun you. Additionally for instance a single Hammer from a Sunbreaker will onehit kill atleast a not masterwork equipped (I can't confirm if masterwork does or does not make a difference) Arcstrider in one shot while the other way around the Arcstrider needs 2 MELEE hits to kill the sunbreaker while said Titan throws hammers like a madman. By all means I dont demand a nerf of said classes at all. They feel good and powerful and are fun to play. I rather like to see a change of the Arcstrider kit (or atleast of one tree) to make it strong enough to compete with a Palpatine or Striker in one on one combat. I am not talking about Range or attack speed buffs but actual changes in the kit. Like give it a initial aoe attack or lunge at a single target when activated comparable to both striker or the one Palpatine trees. Please note that I am aware of the Arcstrider potential to be a tool of massive destruction in pvp when in the right hands but it is needless to say that achieving said destruction with other classes is far easier and therefor for someone with same skill much more rewarding.
