I want them to stop letting the PvP Balance Team run the sandbox more than getting rid of Luke Smith. Sure he's at the helm of it all, but I could've stomached this weapon system if it wasn't also for the fact they watered down the quality of loot and the overall time-to-kill because of the PvP Balance Team's input... Or rather, I blame them for reinforcing Luke Smith's ideology with their 'Balance=Nerfs' mantra.

Wasn't he like the lead game designer or something though? If he was adamant enough I'm sure he was given possible veto power with most broad reaching game design choices, and for a reason. He didn't throw enough weight around to keep it from changing evidently, if he did have that power and viewpoint. Either way I was getting at the Nerf=Balance mantra more specifically so I still have to say that they're my biggest concern with the game and the franchise moving forward. I'm tired of playing this game and constantly feeling like nothing lives up to the legacy of Destiny 1. It's shitty to feel like we've come so far time wise only to step so far back power wise. It's not where I wanted this game to go. There are Exotic armors whose perks are basically nerfed fulltime cocoon for a prescribed weapon type, need I say more? They've dumbed everything down to the point they're throwing lackluster perks on derpy "unique" looking Exotic items to dilute the Exotic loot table for Titans and other classes. It's so stupid playing my Titan main and getting the Actium War-Rig. And when I get something like the Dunemarchers or Mk. 44 Stand Asides I just laugh. And then I see Lion Rampant and get pissed I have to use an Exotic just to get something half close to what Titan skating used to feel like... Maybe if I was a Hunter or Warlock main I would've liked the game. They got awesome Exotics and their subclasses are hella good in PvP, I've seen the DestinyTracker stats and once again it's Nightstalkers and various Warlocks dominating the leaderboards. Unfortunately I got the short stick by preferring Titans since they gutted Striker's Super and Suncharge. They split Suncharge away from Sunbreaker and turned my 1HKO ability into a duration Super just so I can get repeatedly dicked on by Warlock rtards who have the luxury of baiting my Super with a Nova Bomb aimed at their feet... So overall I'm more concerned with PvP 'balance' in general and not just double weapons, therefore my gripes are with the entire PvP sandbox team and not just the goons pushing double weapons.

Then they showed it to Luke Smith and he ( initially ) wasn’t happy with the change, it actually took some time to convince him to go along with it. So in a way, Luke Smith’s real failure was not having a “solid direction” for Destiny 2. If you are game director, then you need to be a bit of a dictator when it comes to other people’s creative vision, your vision should always come first ( behind making a game that the fans will enjoy of course ). It’s also clear that Bungie has a leadership problem, too many cooks in kitchen who think they are the head cook and none of them are properly communicating with each other.
