The pulse grenade does way too much damage for its grenade style. The pulse grenade can kill a resilience:4 hunter (that's me) in two pulses, maybe three at max health. It appears to take around 2-4 seconds for me to die from that grenade at full health, and this time feels way too short to notice the damage, and then evade the whole area of the grenade, especially when I am in the middle of a gunfight most of the time. It feels like the pulse grenade breaks the grenade archetype. the void vortex grenade is a large, round, area of effect grenade, but it does little damage to people inside or those hit directly with it. but then the spike grenade is a concentrated cone, able to do major damage if placed in the right spot. The pulse grenade does both of these things: taking up large space and doing a lot of damage. It feels unfair that certain subclasses get free kills just by throwing their grenade at someone.

    I don't understand why you'd simply write a guy off because he is stating an imbalance in a skill in PVP. Sure the grenade may be fine in PVE but he's right, in PVP it's completely broken. I understand you play a Titan and you don't want your grenade nerfed cause it might affect you in your PVP/PVE play styles but that is exactly why this game needs balancing individually for both. You can't nerf something for PVP and have it effect it in PVE. Balance changes need to be targeted to either PVP or PVE and only effect those game modes. If you enjoy playing PVP and have had a pulse grenade thrown at you then you know that 9/10 times you're dead. No other grenade has this much effect. Hunter tosses a void nade and is like "Please stand in my nade for like 5 seconds so it has enough time to activate and start damaging you". Titan throws a nade and is like "Got 'Em! Time to load up my 2nd nade." It is not fun especially at the start of a match when nades are just lobbed into chokes that you basically have to run through to get to a specific point to set up to stop someone from grabbing a Power Weapon. The other thing about the nade is it last so damn long. I've died to the stupid nade cause I sit and watch it pulse like 6 times and think it's over run through where its at and its still pulsing. Kudos to anyone that actually read this block of text.

      Pulse grenade do not do to much damage , many others grenade tho does not enough damage , thats the problem , pulse grenade dont worth anything if you jump and dont step on it , of course if you sit on a pulse grenade you will die just as much as if you stand on a vortex or solar grenade you will die , there is equivalent to pulse grenade , but peoples dont use them , thats said ... Pulse grenade dont do much damage unless you sit on it ... pulse grenade are nice to create " no go area " for a little bit of time wich when you know how they work are totally fine ALSO IN THIS GAME YOU GET " FREE KILLS " Just by shooting 1 shot at someone who get kill . just like overwatch etc... you have " killl/assist " in a single digit ...

So how is that a free kill? So in halo, COD, Titanfall, and so on, it’s a free kill? You need to stay away from shooter games and go back to mindcraft.

        • If it takes you more than 2 seconds to recognize that you're taking damage from a grenade you're probably just bad at the game.

          • Have we not learned what endless nerfi g has gotten us? D1 this grenade would've been alright, nothing more, nothing less. Why is this? Because the movement wasn't sluggish. That being said, these pulses are still really easy to counter, more out of the way. You have summoned me.

              I feel like if they nerf it, it will become pointless again, so just buff the other duration grenades. If anything, you should be watching out for a user who is good with lightning grenades, they kill even better than in destiny 1. Also, just to clarify, I think the reason they don't buff vortex is because of voidwalker charging up their nades. But if they did buff other duration grenades...they would become the meta...

              You do realize that if you Nerf pulses , Strikers will just switch to lighting and you will be right back in the forums crying "NERF Lightning Grenades WaaaaAAAAAAA!!!!

            • Somebody like you who basically is thinking only of PVP and how it affects you. There is nothing wrong with the pulse grenade, in PVE terms, it does the job it is meant to do and just as well. anybody that makes a comment about something being too powerful because of what it does in PVP loses my vote every time. there are certain abilities in a hunter and a Warlock that need boosting up to the same standard as a Titan. It shouldn't be about the lacking in power because of a balance design flaw that decides who wins. Each guardian has a individual skill that is particular to that type of guardian, that is what should decide the winner, on how you use your skills
