Give us something else to buy with legendary shards.... Puhleez.
Would be nice if mods were available to buy with legendary shards for example. I'm sitting on nearly a thousand of these shards and the only place to spend them is with Xur. Since his only purpose is to help lower level new players get gear and I've got three characters pushing 300, his merchandise isn't much use to me. That's not a complaint, btw. I understand what and why Xur is and I also understand that he may occasionally sell something I may want.
Since kinetic mods are so hard to come by, perhaps Xur could sell these from time to time? I have multiple kinetic weapons without legendary damage mods so something like that would be extremely useful to me.

I shared soooooo many guns prior to xur first appearance. Because I thought he’d need like 100 per item I regret destroying many of those guns.

8 RespuestasThey/you could: Make Shaders a permanent item if you buy your favourite with shards. Buy exotic weapon skins for your weapons. Buy Tokens for your favourite planet vendors. Buy a special ticket that lets you play a Rumble match. Make a PoE mode type and you could buy tickets and enter that. Buy Exp boosts and other boosters. Buy tokens that allow speed boosts to your character. Buy a proper treasure hunt map from Cayde that has clues not not a direct location with better rewards. Buy engine mods for your Sparrow. Buy tickets to enter Sparrow racing. They could have Shard slot machines in the tower - you might win a prize! You could visit a barber in the tower - change that damn hairstyle you regret having. A roaming Vendor (not Xur) that doesn't appear on the map - can buy cool things if you can find him/her. Buy a ticket into the tank arena - 6v6 tank battles (PvP). Clan shard tax - collect enough and clan members get an engram. Buy weapon packages from the Gunsmith like in D1 they arrive a week later. Shard - twinkle dust (or whatever it's called) exchange with Tess. Just some really random ideas while I enjoy my coffee at work. Totally agree you need to be able to use them on more things. T. It would be nice in addition to the mod components for a random legendary mod we could spend a few legendary shards for a random legendary mod.

4 RespuestasI had 1200 shards. I'm down to 300. I tried the exotic trick trying to get the antiope-d. I had over 600 weapon parts after dismantling for forever. Still didn't get the antiope-d. Didn't get anything really but a few mods lol

Missing a gun? After Mods? HAVE TONS OF LEGENDARY SHARDS?!?! Well have I got the answer for YOU!! Go to vault. Go to collections. Buy all exotics you can carry. Break them down for shards and gunsmith parts. Math is for every 10 shards you spend, you get 5 shards back and 3 gunsmith materials. Turn in to gunsmith for guns and mods. Break apart purple mods you don't use for mod parts. Buy armor or weapon mods. Save a 100 or so for full Xur inventory in case we get lucky. Wash, rinse, repeat. Profit. ^__^

They should have a way for us to buy a few high level legendary items each week with these things.

If you're sitting on that many legendary shards and are in need of weapon mods, you could always load up your inventory with exotics from your vault at 10 shards per exotic, then dismantle them for 5 shards back and 3 weapon parts, then turn the weapon parts in to Banshee. He usually gives one or 2 blue mods which you can eventually turn into purples that you can break down for mod components, then buy weapon mods with 2 components. It's not a pretty solution, but it's a viable work-around. They should just allow buying mods with legendary shards (either through xur or banshee), but until that happens this is what you can do.

Have xur sell weapon perks in the form of mods, sure would be cool to have a luck in the chamber mod, increase grenade throw mod, range finder, or explosive rounds.

I agree that there needs to be some way for players to spend legendary shards besides spending a couple on xur (if he even has something that you need) and buying exotics out of the vault to dismantle for weapon parts. Don't get me wrong I have spent well over 1000 legendary shards on exotics from the vault (that is considering that the exotics practically cost 5 legendary shards since you get 5 back) and even after all of that I still have well over 2000 legendary shards. Bungie pls give us something to spend these on.

This is one post I can really get behind. Idc what they make legendary shards useful for as long as I can actually use them for something somewhat productive. I'm pretty sure the most casual guardians have well over 300 with nothing to spend them on.
