Guardian Log 008

*LOG UPDATED* *CHECKING SYSTEMS, ALL SYSTEMS GREEN* *POSITION...EARTH.* Log 008 Well I've gotten off mars. How you ask? Well. Through a shitty system that's how. After listening to music that can rot in hell, me and Spark grabbed what we could and went to look for the engine. Found the NLS drive pretty easily, but the engine was more difficult. Lifting a 400 pound engine in 0.04 g is not exactly easy. So instead I grabbed the nearest thing that could lift it. As we're looking around, Spark told me this, "We could steal an Interceptor." I looked at my ghost. "And bring the cabal to us? They'd cook me and use you for spare parts!" "Not if we're fast enough, the base near here can supply us without raising an alarm." My ghost clicked. "Besides, it's the only thing we can use to drag it back to the ship and repair it." So we walked to the cabal base. Took us about half an hour just to get there, and on the way I saw weird stone structures. Spark told me to avoid them since some Alien race known as "The Vex" used these to transform entire worlds. -blam!- those guys then. As we entered the valley where the base was, I noticed something. It's was empty. Completely empty. Corpses were everywhere! I saw cabal, robot thingys (best guess is those were the vex) and four armed creatures clad in red. Spark was really concerned to see these things. "The fallen?! Here?!" I turned to Spark, "Whoa! Something wrong with these guys?" "They almost destroyed the city, twice! The house of devils here could mean they're abandoning earth though...." My ghost faded from sight back into my head. After we found a interceptor, a huge floating mini tank basically, I found some power tools to fix the engine. As we headed back to the engine, I noticed it was growing dark out. Dark usually meant shitty things trying to kill me. So I roped up the engine, and started dragging the -blam!-ing thing to the ship. After 2 full hours, the engine was fully recovered and repaired. I just needed to fire the baby up. And just my luck, it did!! I was relieved! Only to hear a roar. As my ghost turned the ship on, i looked behind me, to see the biggest fallen ever. This mother -blam!-er must've been at least 15 feet tall! Just before he shot at me, I disappeared. Or rather, was Transmatted into the ship. It felt really weird, and I don't know how to even explain it. After 10 minutes of acceleration, we stopped I looked outside my window to see a world, a reddish brown world, floating here. -blam!- mars dude. Just...-blam!- it. That's when the real puke machine began. The NLS drive was activated and I fell back into my seat to see the outside of my window just turn into white, blue and black. Like a goddamn Star Wars movie. After a few minutes, we arrived at earth. And I've been sitting in orbit here ever since, writing this goddamn log. But, should I die again and not be found, I want these logs to exist damnit. Hopefully everything will be fine except the goddamn disco music.

  • I like it! One of the things I specifically liked is when the ghost says "we can steal an interceptor". It makes it seem like the ghost is more the trouble maker while the guardian is the rational one, and I think that's how it should be! The ghost doesn't get shot with bullets, so why would they be afraid of stealing from Cabal? It's also different from the game's ghost, which is pleasant to see! Continue the great work!!
