Petition to return Road Complex armor to original (or adjusted) state
As many players have probably noticed, some of their sleek armor pieces from two sets, Errant Knight 1.0 and Road Complex AA1 (As seen above), have been turned into a bulky, silly version of the Vanguard gear, due to the original having "hate symbols" on them. I am deeply disturbed and irritated by this change. I play video games to have fun, and I don't want politics and other issues affecting my games. At the very least I would like Bungie to reimburse us with similar armor (Like the Crucible armor) or just fix the design of the gear and removed the so-called "hate symbol." If you want your armor changed back, replaced, or just don't like politics in your video games, I hope you will comment or upvote this post.

It really sucks how they changed the armor. I do have that armor and love it for how it was before (or stated in the image on the regular post). I do know that there is "hate symbols" in the armor. But seriously, people need to chill. Just because there is a symbol in a game that is on a flag of another country/state doesn't mean it is offensive or meant for hate I prefer the older designs -Dragon of GoL

1 RespuestaI don't see why they would have to change anything but the arms. I really hope they put it back nearly how it was so I can make my hunter look like a shimmery deadly viper again. Btw the chest piece was quite literally a geometric abstract of a pit vipers' face. So cool! Also if someone were to use one single line to encode each unit of the KEK symbol, and didn't even use a color other than that on fake flag, it would look exactly as it does on the arm pieces of The Road Complex armor, and still be recognizably similar to any fully conscious observers, so you know. Bungie should be aware that somebody on thier team has used a "nationalist" (ie racist) ploy to stir up confusion and controversy regarding thier many branched racist movement, so that they can operate. No platforms are too petty to facilitate this ideas (COD game chat lol). It may have just been trolling, but they know what they did 0'_'0

Hunter armor has always been terrible, in D2 I noticed the Errant Knight set and thought how cool it was. Bungie just remove the "hate" symbol and give us our armor back.

If you really want to complain about political correctness, go over to the CoD forums and ask them why they're sugarcoating history while claiming "historical accuracy".

I still don't understand on why they changed it a lot of people have said it isn't a hate symbol if I was bungie I would just say deal with it or suck it we are not changing it because it doesn't look like nothing is wrong too me.

Well, I'm glad this was posted. I noticed the change and couldn't figure out why my stuff kept looking different. It shouldn't be too hard for them to just remove the lettering/logo and return it back to original form. I like the sleek hunter look as well, not so much of the tactical look. Hopefully they are working on this and its just taking some time.

It's a group of trolls that satirically portray certain racist things like a certain old German group thats name is censored and has a z in it (which is what their flag is based off of). BUT, I do agree with Bungie's decision to remove the logo, however I don't agree with their approach. For those who say they don't want politics in their game, it's not just a game, it's a business. And even though the kekistan flag isn't racist, it is based on that one german flag, satirically or not, I'm sure no company wants to be associated with something like that. But I don't understand why they chose this poop looking armor for it's temp replacement. Could've copied over the errant Knight set to take over AA1 for now. They look more similar. So similar, in fact, that someone mistakened the errant Knight leggings for the AA1 leggings and now they are removed as well. So there you go. Kekistan isn't a racist group, but it does satirically portray one. Stop using the argument that it's just a game, because again, it's a business, not a game. And stop calling people snowflakes or libtards because they see something as being racist, something that actually copies previous racist groups, satirical or not. And believe me, I like the kekistans, theyre funny, I'm not offended. But I understand where Bungie, AS A COMPANY, is coming from.

3 RespuestasI researched this group when I heard about the controversy. The group kek was basically created to mock political correctness and the overly offended leftist crybabies. If it was a legit hate group like the Arian brotherhood or KKK I wouldn't mind bc im against hate groups in all forms. Also I'm sure that ppl who pride themselves as kek members probably harbor alot of discriminatory beliefs but so do all groups who rally for only one ppl or ethnicity. With that on the table I think it's absolutely ridiculous for bungie to allow themselves to succumb to this kind of knee jerk reaction bc of some pressure applied by ppl who are truly hipocrites in their own right. Does this mean that the future war cult rainbow cloak from D1 should have been removed bc it's the most recognized symbol of the LBGT community and that offends Christian ppl? I don't even care if they bring the design back but it shouldn't have been removed in the first place. You CANT remove everything in this country/world bc it resembles something hateful.

2 RespuestasI care a lot about the way my guardian looks, have done since day 1 of D1. My aim for the first week of D2 was to get my guy looking good in a full set of armour. I managed, to my surprise, not only to get a full set of knight errant but also a full set of road complex. Giddy at how slick my hunter was looking I thought, why not get some silver so i can get some shaders and mods. So, I did. Then bungie fixed things. Now I'm left with a set of knight errant with legs that don't match the rest of the set and a set of "road complex" where the helmet does not match the fugly replacement. This might not seem like a big deal to some but for me, not only has it took away some of the enjoyment and sense of accomplishment from the first week of D2 it has also taken away my investment of time and real life money! Surely this fix has bothered more people than the actual offending item? Not cool Bungie!!!

I put so much time and effort into upgrading my road complex aa1 gear. I used my favorite shader on it and used a bunch of legendary shards to up its power level, ow I have some ugly looking bomb squad gear.

It is seriously funny for Bungie making any changes just because of a symbol majority of the world have no idea about. Isn't this game released for global gamers ? If Bungie would only priotorised US sensitive users why take one night from us ? Basically the update last night started when we get off as European users and it was still going on when i went to bed. Tonight there will be the raid and we lost one night to get ready for the raid just because Bungie catering to crying babies. As i stated zillions times before , Bungie needs to make major changes on their leadership positions because what they have now is NOT working.
