• Not all of them, the first one i played was Link to the past on a Super Nintendo. I would consider that one the best of the 2d games I did play Ocarina of time, and found it tedious with how annoying the camera was. Wind Waker my preferred one didn't have as annoying camera, and much more freedom in exploration, and items to use Twilight princess was interesting in how much of a departure from the norm it was, but it felt small compared to windwaker for some reason. I then played the original loz, and that one was a chore for me. Probably amazing for it's time, but not so much anymore.
Not all of them, the first one i played was Link to the past on a Super Nintendo. I would consider that one the best of the 2d games
agreed
I did play Ocarina of time, and found it tedious with how annoying the camera was.
never had problems with the camera. i cant think of anything thats bad about OoT. ive never had the same 'wow' moments in any of the following zeldas. first time getting the masters sword, riding epona, all these different races (zoras, gorons,..), crafting the bid sword..
Wind Waker my preferred one didn't have as annoying camera, and much more freedom in exploration, and items to use
good game but somehow it never felt like zelda to me. its weird to describe but the setting was just too different.
Twilight princess was interesting in how much of a departure from the norm it was, but it felt small compared to windwaker for some reason.
felt a bit like reliving OoT for me. had a tons of fun playing but it was not as memorable to me as OoT in the end
I then played the original loz, and that one was a chore for me. Probably amazing for it's time, but not so much anymore.
yes.

 • Also the story telling in most of the others is just so much better. Ocarina pretty much just says "Hey you're an orphan hylian go stop this ganondorf dude." I do not deny Ocarina of Time played a big part in games evolution to 3d, but it's not as good as many of the others in terms of story or controls :|

 • to me it had the right amount of lending you a hand and telling you what is up and spending time exploring areas not being exactly sure on how to progress. but i guess thats just preference. i found it really weird that you hadnt included it bc most notorious titles of former 2d games are their first appearances in 3d like mario 64 or gta3 (although most people say san andreas is superior)

 • All those games are important for the changes they brought, but that doesn't make them the best. In my opinion it seems kind of silly, and reminds me about how my great grandfather used to always use this hand powered drill despite him owning 3 different electric ones.

 • videogames are for enjoyment. games will always look prettier and prettier, have better ways of item management, smoother controls etc. but the experience and the moments wont change. first ride on a horse in a video game? epona OoT my god was that amazing. how many people were amazed riding a horse in games like mgs5 or rdr? hardly anyone. your example is about an item you utilize. of course newer and better version are superior. you have to differenciate between material things and immaterial
