Officer Carroll: "Watch your wrists for me, I don't want to pinch you."
Katelyn Ebner: "I'm going to jail for marijuana?"
Officer Carroll: "No, ma'am -- not possession, unless I find any in your car. I believe you're impaired by the marijuana you've smoked."
Katelyn Ebner: "Okay, so when I do a drug test, I'll be free to go, correct?"
Officer Carroll: "You're going to jail, ma'am. Okay? I don't have a magical drug test that I can give you right now."

"Before you felt the handcuffs closing over your wrist, did you understand just how serious this was?" Keefe asked Ebner.
"I didn't understand," Ebner said. "As soon as I took that breathalyzer, I thought I was going home."
The waitress spent the night in jail, had her alcohol server's permit revoked because of the arrest. After four months, prosecutors dismissed all her charges -- because the blood test came back completely clean.
What the -blam!- kind of shit is that haha. That's so dumb.

Well, it wouldn't be the first time Cobb county made it on the net for being pricks!

This is gonna happen to me one day because I don't get enough sleep. My mom always asks if I'm high even though I'm not, and yet still manage to sound like I'm lying.
The waitress spent the night in jail, had her alcohol server's permit revoked because of the arrest. After four months, prosecutors dismissed all her charges -- because the blood test came back completely clean.
So the state essentially kidnapped an innocent person for a night. Then they took away that person's permission slip to sell alcohol. Then they found out that, -blam!-ing surprise, the person was innocent. And it only took four months! Thank God justice won in the end. I'd just hate for somebody to be treated unfairly by the government.

Those cops have what we in the aircraft business call a "calibrated eye". Need to know tire pressure? Kick that tire with your calibrated boot. Not sure if someone is under the influence? Call this guy! He spent the last month staring at a wall waiting for class to be over.

Editado por Satanic Mechanic: 5/12/2017 11:16:57 PMI know for a FACT they have instant drug tests they can do with strips of paper... "Dip sticks"...
lots of years on probation and parole...
Could have easily given her one at the jail... She should sue for lost revenue... I'm not one to say "sue sue" but in a case like this it's justified...they also shouldn't have taken her LL until she was convicted...so much for "innocent until proven guilty"...

Maybe they should make it a 6 month long class instead of a month long
