Getting a refund on my Destiny 2 pre-order

Well it's happening again - Sony exclusive content. Normally it wouldn't bother me much; after three years Xbox gamers have come to expect this (I state this as more of a resignation than a complaint). It seems a little worse this time with "Timed exclusive content until at least Fall 2018" - which probably won't happen anyways (Echo Chamber, Sector 618, Jade Rabbit among the most notable). For a gaming company that keeps talking about the quality and support of it's gaming community it doesn't seem to mind a segregated one. Another example is the indication that Bungie will give Sony players earlier access to the beta (which there really is no valid reason for). So is there any point in getting Destiny 2 in 2017? - that depends on you. "Try hards" and "sweats" probably won't care but if the last 3 years are any indication you might as well wait for 2018 when we'll probably find the original release in the $20-$30 bin or the supposive game+dlc bundle in the new arrivals section of your game store at some point in 2018.
