In particular, in "New Slaves," he expresses the notion that his criticisms of corporations is being purported to being paranoid of these types of groups in order to distract from and devalue what he's saying by making it look like fruitless conspiracy theory. It's not the illuminati controlling people, it's the big cooperations controlling every part of people's lives to make a profit. What is different about those statements you may ask? Well, the illuminati is shrouded in secrecy, while the cooperations are not. It seems unreasonable that they would be able to get away with social engineering because they aren't some invisible force, and as such are driven by complacency rather than secrecy. Silk isn't expensive because it's expensive to make. It's expensive because the factory which makes silk is owned by the high end clothing companies which restrict access to the materials for affordable clothing companies. This isn't dictated by some secret society, it's dictated by the obvious profit incentive that comes from selling a product which people will perceive as being implicative of the place in society that they wish to reside in.
