Mission INSIDE the traveler?
This isn't lore as much as a suggestion. What if there was a dlc or free update that would let you venture inside the traveler (to, say, eradicate a type of parasite like darkness?)? My highest level guardian is lvl. 20 so maybe there is. But there probably isn't. I really hope bungie looks into this concept. There could just be a lot of story potential in this.

1 RespuestaGood luck with this idea, you have a better chance of Bungie putting an amusement park ride in there. There's also nothing in the lore that leads us to believe that there is darkness inside the traveler. We returned the shard that the hive stole and we killed the dark heart, both of which supposedly made light return to the traveler. Now it's been sitting there for 2.5 years. I guess dead orbit was right.

Do we even know what made the traveler? I means it's a machine of some sort, it didn't create itself from nothingness.

This would be a nice DLC package. There was once speculation that The Traveler was a gigantic factory, a world-builder or God-builder of sorts. Imagine 3D printing capabilities that are light-years beyond what we understand and you could envision The Traveler being able to fabricate well... just about anything. This is what makes The Traveler so sought after by all. My personal opinion is that this plot thread was written by the writer who left Bungie and has become a third-rail of content that they will not touch for fear of lawsuits.

The vanguard and the speaker are gathered to discuss all the ways they've tried to bring the traveler back to life but have all failed, after naming all the things they've tried Eris walks in and says "have you tried pressing the on button", dumbfounded, Cayde says to us "guardian, get ready, you're going into the traveler"

We already have kill the parasites that were preventing the traveler from healing. It's also like a living thing, so I'd say no. Let's not.

Ha. Free update with a mission inside the Traveler. Bungie ain't a charity. They would make you pay $50 just to go to the city

One of the theories awhile back was that the Black Garden is inside the Traveller. Soooo, you might have already had a mission there.

Sorry darling it wouldn't be dlc or an update. If we much go inside the traveller it would be in the next game or the game after it. And it's only a theory that you can actually enter the traveller so we will have to see if it's possible before clambering to get in it
