BREAKING NEWS
In a shocking turn of events, an anonymous informant has just handed me the biggest secret that Bungie has been hiding from everyone on the forums.
Bungie is a business! In spite of everything forum shitposters want to believe, a business is meant to make money, not cater to every whim of the minority of players.
In addition, it has been revealed that Bungie has in fact been in league with Activision this whole time! Activision is well known as being more profit-oriented than anything else, yet forum posters seem to have forgotten that completely.
[spoiler]I say forum posters are in the minority because literally everyone I talk to outside of the forums doesn't give 2 shits about any of the "problems" that people bring up here.[/spoiler]
Edit: It seems that there's some confusion. I'm not trying to defend Bungie, or Activision, or anyone else. All I'm saying is this "money grubbing" or "cash grabbing" should not be a surprise to anyone who has any past knowledge of Activision, or any major corporation. All of the outrage is completely useless and moronic. Sure, they are doing shitty things, but you [b]keep buying their shit[/b]. That's why things like microtransactions, dlc, and anything else you have to pay for will keep rolling out with the minimum effort possible put into it. There will always be games like COD that come out every year with little to know value because people will buy it. It will only end when people chose to stop paying for stuff they know is shit. I'm still going to buy everything that comes out for Destiny, Destiny 2, and anything else Destiny related because even if I don't like it now, I liked it at one point, and I will continue to hope that I'll like it in the future because it made some kind of impression on me. Almost everyone else is the same way. If not with Destiny, with some other franchise.

Edit: So now I'm half banned and I can't reply to anyone's comments on this post because of that crybaby, so I guess this thread is dead for me.

3 RespuestasEveryone blames Bungie for the PvP problems and microtransactions. You do realize they have a giant monkey on their back called Activision, right? You do realize Activision's only focus for [i]years[/i] has been multiplayer games and making that Call of Duty money, right? Unfortunately, instead of just ripping [i]all[/i] the guts out of Destiny, they decided to compromise and just [i]sort of[/i] enforce their will on the game. Hence we have impossible situations like balancing Destiny's PvP which forces Bungie to deal with hundreds of weapon combinations. THE LAST MULTIPLAYER MODE THEY MADE HAD A TOTAL OF 8 WEAPONS YOU COULD CHOOSE FROM. Give them a f-cking break. I feel sorry for Bungie. They get shit on by their own community daily and they have to just grin and bear it for fear of offending their publisher overlord.

That's a core part of the product. It's like bitching about the brakes in your car not working quite right. Maybe the designers should fix something that is causing problems for customers when it comes to core functionality. Yeah, they can ignore the guy griping that the cup-holder isn't big enough or the glove-box light isn't bright enough. But ignoring important criticism because of the nit-picky criticism is absurd. Also getting angry at people for being upset is like fighting fire with fire via self-immolation.

4 RespuestasI guess many of you have never worked a service type job. A modern business runs on the principle of minimum input-maximum outcome. Lemme put it this way. Ever had to wait in line for a long time at mcdonalds or something? That's not because the workers are incompetent, that's because most modern businesses will run on the bare minimum workforce needed to [i]eventually[/i] get the job done. Yes you will get annoyed that you have to wait in line to get your burger, you might even leave and buy it somewhere else but one person leaving is not a problem as long as there's three other people patiently waiting. It's the same in Destiny, fixing things would be additional employees to pay and maybe would maximize customer satisfaction. But why spend money on that when the majority of customers is satisfied enough to keep coming back?

They provide entertainment, not necessity items. Entertainers historically cater to their audience or lose it. If people weren't plebs with no sense of true individuality, they might actually wait to buy things and games wouldn't keep getting sliced into thinner and thinner portions.

1 RespuestaProblem was never that their a business. It was the fact that bungie USED to be one of the most honest and straightforward companies out there. They USED to ask the gamers their opinions and would actually talk TO us and not AT us. People are mad because bungie USED to be different than all the rest. But they've changed, and us original players that are halo addicts know what is feels like to have a company listen and ask for once. Then suddenly on the drop of a hat they changed everything down to how they do business and all the way up to never actually talking to the player base.
