Right, so, I'm ready. In my opinion, anybody these days who would take part in the black magic side of things, trying to hex or curse people and whatnot, is rather silly. Even if it did work, there are much simpler and probably more effective ways of irritating someone or getting revenge. I also disagree with revenge by itself but y'know. If somebody wants to fiddle with death and claim there are special energies, then go for it. I don't think they should be allowed to claim that they can contact the dead and speak to loved ones in order to get money out of people, or to falsely give closure to someone. Also perhaps it would be better if dead bodies weren't physically involved, bacteria and general mankiness could be problematic there. You may be able to tell that I think this stuff is all bollocks, but I am very for the right for people to believe what they like.

I'm on the same level as you in terms of revenge, I just don't see a particular need for it. What's due is what will come, given enough time, at least I think. Actively seeking to make that due come faster may expedite the process, but whether it's worth the cost to simply speed up what's potentially inevitable...that's subjective, I suppose, but it wouldn't be to me. Though, I wouldn't necessarily say that all black magic is necessarily more complex. There might be more of a "cost" associated with it, but usually it only becomes complex when ritual magic is involved. However, any form of ritual is often more complex than may be necessary. As to the reality of special death energies, as you said, it's subjective. There's no objective proof for or against, so it boils down to choice of belief. However, energy is "produced" during the process of decay in the form of heat. This isn't to any great amount, it's more of a very subtle release, but it's something. As to whether this could be manipulated to any advantage or not would be a question of "mind over matter", which again, for most people is a subject with little purpose in debating. I do agree that claiming clairvoyance for the sake of personal gain is an abhorrent practice, though I won't comment on doing so free of cost. Some people genuinely believe that they can contact the dead, some people genuinely believe in the abilities of the aforementioned. As long as nobody is being extorted, I won't stick my nose in all of that. I won't participate, but I won't involved myself antagonistically either. And corpses can pose a health hazard, which is why I wouldn't recommend practicing with the physical element myself. At least, not without prior consent and thorough decontamination at the very least. And lastly, I can observe your stance through your prior commentary, and this is perfectly fine. I accept believers and non-believers alike as long as both parties are respectful of one another, and thankfully that quality manifests in you quite well. I appreciate you taking the time to put in your two cents on the topic, thank you for that.
