I wouldn't recommend necromancy, just from certain experiences I've had

What? Ghost possessing people? Just call 1-800-GHO-STBU-STER

Working with an ouija board, eh? I don't fault you for that, it's pretty much considered to be nothing more than a superstitious toy for most people due to a large growth in popularity, and the fact that it's become a product produced by Hasbro hasn't helped either. I myself don't think they'll "always" conjure up some hostile force or entity and I certainly suspect that it's common for people to weave "tall tales" surrounding them, but at the same time my worldview leaves room for actual events like that to happen. I do believe in the concept of spirits, both human and non-human, and that they can easily be drawn in simply by request. That's why I never advise actively trying to contact them without a level of serious preparation and forethought as to the why, when, where, and how.
That's why I never advise actively trying to contact them without a level of serious preparation and forethought as to the why, when, where, and how.
This^ Although I'd advise against all forms of contact. There's a reason God told the Jews not to practice necromancy, and there's also a reason those spirits are still on Earth. Spirits are capable of lying, being sexually attracted to people of all ages, influencing peoples emotions and decisions, and are only out to destroy and use you. Where there's a spirit of a person stuck on Earth there's a demon lingering over it. Once you invite that spirit, or demon, into your life and it learns who you are it may not leave willingly...
Rant over. Stay away from necromancy OP and all reading this.
That's fair, better safe than sorry. I've had a mixture of negative and positive experiences with that aspect of reality in the past, so I think it's reasonable to dabble with if, as I said, enough preparation and forethought was put into the practice. I also don't believe good or evil actually exist, just perceptions of the concept. True, some spirits can be selfish and cruel, but so can the human beings that most of us interact with on a daily basis. Certainly it can be said that the abilities between an average human and an average spirit may differ, but I think the risk is about equal.

What. Have. You. DONE?

Ive never practiced or been apart of a necromancy ritual per say, but I did stupidly use a ouija board with friends when i was in middle school just to, "see what would happen." Long story short, don't do it.
Ouija? Lol, that's not Necromancy that's a wooden board.
Purposely trying to make contact with a spirit in any way is necromancy.
