I usually avoid red meat and don't particularly care for steak in the first place, but on the rare occasions when I do eat it, it's well done. I'm not going to bother explaining why as I think that's a stupid question and the answer should be obvious -- it's my preference. I eat my food the way I like it, simple as that.
People who act like there's a right or wrong way of cooking or eating something are silly (don't make the effort to be pedantic and take this out of context, you know damn well what I mean).
Stay mad, steak purists.

I said what I did because you pointed out a fact that even all the people who say "Well done? Eww" or "Only my mother/ young kid eats it like that" can't deny. It's all a preference, and people can't tell you how you should like your food.

Same thing happens to me. It's actually pretty sad and -blam!-ed up that I won't know when someone is complimenting me or insulting me half the time without clarification from them.
